Right you are. Foswiki did not exist before Octobre 2009. It was TWiki before. We had intensive discussion about whether to use Foswiki oder WordPress for this weblog. I still think it is right to use WordPress for the web and Foswiki for internal blogging.

There is no fixed date for 1.1 and I do not know, if it will be released this year still. My recommendation is, not to skip 1.0.7.

I asked Kenneth Lavrsen (our Foswiki release manager) and he answered: "The release plan was to release 1.1.0 with many new features and architectural changes in September. However it is taking longer to finish these new features to a quality level that suits a product used for business critical use. The release manager therefore decided to release 1.0.7 AND included the new Wysiwyg editor which was already finished and stable on our development branch (trunk). Kenneth"
