Big Government : O'Keefe: The Persecution of an American Patriot

Right on, Jaffo. Give a person a blog and they start calling themselves a journalist. However they're ignorant of the tenets of the profession - accountability, sourcing, context and third party comment/analysis. The comments of Pam Geller (not to mention Hannah Giles and O'Keefe himself) are very telling. Their 15 minutes of fame will be up before they know it. Unfortunately any hope of a career for these young kids will probably be dashed because of their involvement with Breitbart, whether it's in the media or elsewhere. The writing's on the wall. Breitbart is even distancing himself from O'Keefe on this one, calling the tampering "wrong" (ok, it's illegal, but still). Hope the young republicans, itching for their revolution, understand this before it's too late for them. Cuz they will wind up in jail at some point without the right management.

I love this!!!! Pam Geller has the nerve to reference a "seismic shift" in journalism? And you would be qualified to even discuss such a topic...why? Because you have a blog? Is that it? For the sake of argument, what's so innovative about giving a couple of fresh-faced college grads, itching for a revolution, a camera and telling them to go shoot undercover? That's never been done before. Noooo. Outstanding insight, Pam. How old are you again? 15? If there's a seismic shift occuring it has everything to do with a gross lack of oversight, especially by people like you and "big journalism" and "big government." Someone gives you a blog and POW! just like that, you call yourself a journalist. Hannah takes a video phone into an ACORN office and POW! overnight, she's an "investigative journalist!"

Big Government : In the Bowels of Baltimore’s ACORN

I don't know where to begin. Hannah, I'm sorry, but I can't take you or your fight for "truth and justice" seriously. How long have you been a "journalist?" Five seconds? I love how journalist-wannabes like you think all they need to be a reporter is a camera, a blog and a twitter account. Things like context, story telling, EDITING, and third party perspective and analysis are as foreign to airheads like you as a piece of paper and pen. Hope you enjoyed your jog. I'm sure someplace like Fox will be all too happy to reward your "brave" "journalism" with your own TV show. But there's a lot of folks out here who know the real you - a scared, young, phony unsure of yourself who's looking for a profession. Because in reality, you're no better than the leftwing nuts who complained about the "vast right wing conspiracy." There's corruption on both sides of the aisle. Life outside school is eye-opening isn't it?
