Howard is no conservative, and he's also a little strange. I have friends that have worked with him. He is an odd guy, to say the least. Google Terence Howard and babywipes for an example of his oddness. He also has a reputation for being difficult to work with, which I attribute to his "odd" nature and an inflated sense of self. But BH was right to defend him in this case.

I don't know... when I first saw that story I thought that there was probably more to the story. I've been on flights where I've had to go so so very bad and the attendants were rigid about not allowing passengers to stand and go to the bathroom (landing, take off, turbulence, etc.). I get that there are safety issues but if you have to go.... you know what its like when you really have to go. Its painful and a little bit scary. No adult wants to piss themselves. And you know those attendants can get really rude sometimes. Its like they forget the passengers are actual real live people sometimes. Maybe it was inappropriate, but it sounds like it was that or piss his pants. It wouldn't have killed them to let him go.

My husband and I are both college educated. We have two children whom we (of course) want to have the best education. That being said, I am no longer convinced that a college education is a foregone conclusion for success in this country. There is an overabundance of "educated" kids in this country, but not nearly enough trade workers. We don't even offer trades in high school anymore. As a result, the adults I know who work a non-college degree trade are making way more money than my degreed friends (myself included). I've already explained to my 9 yr old that college will be a decision he makes for himself, I don't care if he goes or not. He just have to have a plan... and a job. College has become so expensive its almost irrelevant for those of us in middle America who don't really plan on being doctors or lawyers or something like that that NEEDS a degree. We have already had to raid our kids' college savings in order to stay afloat in this economy. College will be their choice... it will also be their financial responsibility. Hope and change has come and its stolen our dreams of paying for college for our children.
