MetsBlog.com : Poll: Biggest Worry

The FAN was blowing up with calls last week about it..it was terrible. Heck, evan and beningo were going nuts. Because of that, I seriously wouldn't put it past people to be seriously voting that they hate the decor.

so wait, its ok for you to assume that people who vote for decor are saying that a poll is ridiculous, but its not for me to assume that they actually think the decor is that bad? That makes perfect sense... because, if I have naive misunderstanding, so do you. Matt may have been doing it to be funny, but you don't understand the Mets fans on this board or who have called into the FAN over the past week, who TRULY feel that the stadium is terrible. Come down off your high horse, i'm free to respond to a post when someone wants to twist my words into something I never said.

you obviously don't know my posts, i'm probably a "sunshiner" on here.. I was saying the fact that ANYONE would complain that the citi field decor is their biggest worry of the Mets is pathetic. I'm not actually worried about the mets after a 6-6 start, so how about you stop trying to figure out what someone thinks from one post eh?

how easy is it to know O'Day is from the Angels?? Seriously, everyone is talking about his relationship with Adenhart too. I don't understand how someone doesn't take more pride in their JOB to proofread and fact check, heck, i'm Embarrassed for Cerrone on this one especially. come on dude, we all love this blog, but put some better effort in!

"David Wright has struck out 13 times in his first 35 at-bats and is on pace for 234 strikeouts this season. He has struck out 512 times in his six-year career." He mentioned the whole on "pace" thing..which is all i did...its just silly...yes, say he has struck out 13 times in 35 at bats... leave it at that... the "pace" thing is so incredibly short sighted 11 games in. The fact remains, if this was july, and Wright had a 13 strike out in 35 at bat moment, which he could, but for the year, was on pace for his average, it would be a story..yes..but would they say "if over a full season Wright did this, he would be on pace for 234 strike outs", OF COURSE NOT!

Fact: Nick Swisher will hit 59 Hr, have 162 RBI and bat .382 this year, while scoring 162 runs Fact: Evan Longoria will have 100 HR, 240RBI, 300Hits and bat .441 Fact: Heath Bell will have 81 Saves and give up only 16 hits all year do I have to keep going? The Wright stat is hardly a "fact" after 11 games

well, even if thats possible, i'd hope the system isn't stupid enough not to check by IP address, and even if it doesn't , its not the point, you shouldn't get banned for constructive criticism, especially when it would only help him.

i don't care so much about the arrogance, but think about this, his JOB is to get this info to us, and get it correctly. All the typos, grammatical errors, and just plain errors in the info, don't do that. And I do actually think people are "scared" to agree.

blains2000, it wasn't against you... but think about it this way, in the last year or so, hes gained multiple sponsors, as well as the METS sponsorship. When you watch a game at the stadium or on tv, you can see commercials telling people about it. I'm not saying he can't show his fandom, but typos, and overly egotistical things, etc are not what hes now being PAID for. He is being paid by those sponsorships and ads to put up mets related news, keep people coming, and game information. All of which is scattered with mistakes, personal comments, and terribly bad typos. I'm in IT, and am by no means good with grammar, and when I can point things out, its bad!

funny how people are afraid to agree with Mike or Rusty, evidenced by their negative rating. But blains2000 is +3. The bottom line is, whether you love this place or hate it, and most of us love it, or used to love it. Its still the best place for Mets news, but Cerrone needs to understand that noone will take away that he created it, or that its his, but especially with the sponsorship and advertising on tv, it should be more about the team only. And again, the typos and mistakes have gotten to be minimized...

your original case was trying to make it a sexist thing, so that was thrown out a while ago, I had no idea you were even a female, and still wouldn't except saying "if you were his wife", which..hey..maybe you got an alternative lifestyle, but the fact remains, it has NOTHING to do with your gender, and everything to do with it just not being funny. Sorry for so "intensely debating", but I do not want to be labeled sexist for simply saying something wasn't funny.

nothing against being a woman, it just didn't make sense, and wasn't really funny... so, i'd prefer you not try to make this some sort of sexist thing, its just a funny vs not funny thing :)
