I see a major problem for Downfall - if they throw a million dollars off the side of a building in a major city, I can almost guarantee a riot will ensue. And that'll open the lawsuit doors to sue Fremantle and ABC.

Is it possible that you got a different survey? Mine was very extensive and asked several Price related questions... everything from my opinion on how Drew should dress, to the models, to the prizes... even gave me a list of words that could be used to describe the show, and asked which I agreed with.

Maybe some people get phased out if they meet certain demographics (age, location, etc.)?

Presumably the same thing since the affiliates had the option of airing Guiding Light in the 9/10am slot or the 3pm slot. If they air it at 9/10am, the 3pm hour belongs to the affiliate; if they air it at 3pm, the 9/10am hour belongs to the affiliate.

Not that I'm an expert on that, but it makes sense. CBS only gets one hour - they're not picking up an additional hour by canceling Guiding Light.
