Yeah, I am trying to learn the German language. I have been here in Germany since May 2010. My wife can speak it no problem.

I can understand about 50% of what is said but I can't speak very much yet.

I feel pressure from the people here to speak it. Pressure doesn't help.

I am having a difficult time believing that God will help me learn this. There are a lot of old thoughts I received from childhood that creep up such as "You're stupid."

I am not as panicked as I sound above but I would greatly appreciate prayer in this. :)

I tweeted and stumbled this post but please don't enter me in the contest. It's not because I wouldn't like to read the book but because I live in Germany.

That prayer is difficult to pray because it is painful to be molded but still I am willing.

"Jesus isn’t in a hurry but is patient."

Last Friday & Saturday I practiced patients and did a pretty good job. I had to slow down and not let anger seep out.

Sunday wasn't like the other two days. I woke up 45 minutes before church started. I had to try to get my jeans dry (in Germany most people don't have a dryer. I was using a wall heater). I had to get cleaned up and prepare communion (not the message thankfully).

I about went crazy because I didn't prepare. I think in practicing patients one needs to be prepared. Life is full of unexpected things but there are a lot of things we can plan for.

When it comes to devo type posts I have a difficult time coming up with things. That is probably why I have a couple different blogs. One for ministry/devo (Strive) and another for whatever my heart desires (Mosaic Mercy).

Taking a break is good but there are a lot of us that are glad you aren't quitting.

I'm like the reporter sort of. I have trusted God to provide for me in Germany but I know there are other areas where my trust is not as great.

I create things for me to take on. I don't have enough blogs so I create one more. :S

The problem is that blogging is not just writing on my site but also commenting on other bloggers sites.

I find that I don't do this as much as I would like to because I have other responsibilities I need to get done or sometimes I just run out of energy.

I think pastors can have a very difficult job when their job description is to be every body part within the church.

To answer your question, I don't think I have done anything to combat this but I will think about it.
