The true story here is how Alvarez thinks he can pander to and manipulate the committe because of who he is. Some how Wisconsin has got it in their heads that they have the same tradition as Neb (talking football) and this that is their natural rivalry and one that the rest of the world wants to see..I beleive he sees this as a way to some how belittle Iowa's program. Alot of us old guys remember that not long ago Wisconsin was one of the wins you could count on every year. So while he was a good football coach , his opinion is slightly skewed .

I would say he showed great self-control in not dragging him out of the car and beating him to a pulp. Famous athlete or not , no kid should have to tolerate that .
