One thing I really do enjoy about getting older is that I don't care what people think....in other words, the 'need' for a little white lie here and there pretty much disappears. Oh, I tell people I am celebrating my 45th birthday...again and that I've been doing this for about 8 years now. So that could be construed as a little white lie except that everyone knows this is just for the sake of humor because I always add the part about "I've been celebrating my 45th for 8 years now..." Yes, throughout my life I've told the ones about Santa and the Tooth Fairy and how good a meal was that might not have been- not to save face but rather to protect someone else feelings or to enhance a holiday for a child...But, yes, I believe we all lie to some degree!

About calling someone else out on a lie--of any kind? I don't- except our 4 daughters-maybe that's why they are ridiculously honest...LOL. Other people, I let it go. But it clouds my opinion of them. Which might also be human nature?
