HELLO, WHATEVER STRIKES MY FANCY, NICE TO MEET YOU AS WELL, I'M MO I have a hearing aid on my left ear, my right ear is essentially worthless at the moment (though I COULD get a CI for it if my hearing in my left ear were just slightly worse but so far I've been rejected by my health insurance so, since I have progressive loss, I just gotta wait for it to get worse, how nice), but yeah other than that it's the same day-to-day deal! I only know the ASL alphabet, though, self-taught out of the back of a Helen Keller book in the 2nd grade, but I intend to learn more 'cause eventually it'll probably be more of a necessity. I don't have very good dexterity in my hands though so I'm not sure how that'll go, haha. I'm really glad you responded! If you're comfortable doing so, could you message me on tumblr (if you have one; mine's linked in my profile) or at my email (rotting for paranoia wheee: zbfxvgpura@lnubb.pbz)? Okay, we've found Project Wonderful which seems to be a much less obtrusive advertising service (where we have actual control) so we'll be taking the current ones down shortly. At least the pop-ups finally stopped for me? UGH. Yeah, I was gonna make a post apologizing for the... sneakiness of the ads, we didn't know they'd be like this D: Also, I've disabled the popups (I was not aware that that was a thing that they would do, wtf? I JUST WANTED TO PLACE SOME TINY ADS NOT DISRUPT THE COMMUNITY'S LIFE GOD) but they just did it for me which was annoying as fuck so if it doesn't go away within an hour or so we might have to scrap this service. We chose it because it rated well in revenue but apparently at the cost of ANNOYING EVERYONE INCLUDING THE PUBLISHERS

I have not seen that ad so I wasn't able to get the URL to specifically block it, but I've just blocked the category "Romance & Relationships" so hopefully that got rid of it? We have many many categories blocked because we don't want any gross/triggering ads displaying here, so if an ad really bothers you let one of us know! (Preferably with the URL of the ad so we can block it directly.)

Thanks for all the nice messages and the support!! <3 The thing is, some lovely person(s?) from Ireland* seem to be aggressively clicking, which is very sweet and the estimated earnings has gone waaaay up, but the thing is that Google is smart and will likely count those clicks as invalid and 1) Bunny won't get paid for it and 2) we could get zir account canceled if that keeps happening. I appreciate the effort and the sentiment, as I'm sure arctic_hare does as well, but please don't click too often, okay? Thanks so much! <3 *Zir account has an estimated $5+ earned today and out of that exactly $0.01 has been earned from the United States and the rest is from Ireland and unless we have waaay more Irish people than I thought... :P

Hello from a former mod! I'm popping in today to announce that ads will now run on Mark Spoils in order to support our hardworking mod arctic_hare! A few things: - Some of you may remember me, well over a year ago, discussing ads being placed so that we could donate the funds to Mark/give away items from his store, which never happened due to some unexpected events - Both arctic_hare and I kind of totally forgot that like, income taxes were a thing (in our defense, we were both unemployed) and your lovely moderator, who was to be in charge of the money, would have been thoroughly screwed had ze made money off of the site and gave it all away to Mark who, as generous as he is, does not qualify as a charity (I'm pretty sure, anyway) - arctic_hare has been moderating this site for several years now, mostly on zir own, with zero compensation aside from gratitude, and as zir best friend I'm like "TREAT YO SELF" and have finally convinced zir to set up ads and make money off of zir hard work (which, in case you were wondering, I will not be touching) - I am still technically a moderator of Spoils as it pertains to the actual blog (in fact, all past mods are technically still mods, lol) and am helping your actual moderator implement them. Thank you for replying <3 1) well both "single tear" and "man tears" are common TV tropes, but "a single man tear" is not a phrase I'd actually heard before Fan Fiction (and again, when that phrase is googled the only results that are exact matches are related to Supernatural, haha) so I was tickled to find that you'd accidentally quoted a song from an episode you hadn't seen :P 6) I figured, I know how busy you are, but I would have regretted it if I didn't ask!
