<title>Kit Up! : The Midnight Ride of Barack Obama</title>
<link>http://www.lineofdeparture.com/2010/03/29/the-midnight-ride-of-barack-obama/#IDComment64772445</link>
<description>If the Commander in Chief is in the dark, this article sure didn&amp;#039;t shed any light. First you say there is no one who can unite the various factions, and that President Karzai is incapable. Then you go on to question whether we will be able to withdraw. With all due respect, sir, if the surge strategy isn&amp;#039;t going to work, and no one can unite the afghans, then why shouldn&amp;#039;t we get the hell out next year? And there was nothing &amp;quot;Bold&amp;quot; about Bush&amp;#039;s surge, he had no choice since he disregarded Gen. Shalishkaveli&amp;#039;s advice to begin with, and went to war unprepared for the aftermath, and spent five years with an undermanned force. President Bush won&amp;#039;t go down in history as a tactical genius, thats for sure. And who&amp;#039;s fault is it that Afghanistan is not yet at the &amp;quot;tipping&amp;quot; point? We&amp;#039;ve been there for NINE years. We defeated the combined armies of Germany and Japan in four. This war and all it&amp;#039;s flaws stem from the previous administration, but thats an argument for another post. </description>
