Hello guys,

Here is my situation:

I have a firmware 4.2.1 3gs iphone. I mixed the jailbreaking process, first i jailbreaked it and installed the ipad baseband with the newer redsnow. I have the new bootroom so Cydia was crashing. Next i jailbreaked it again with the greenpoison, so that i could install the ultrasnow, unlock my phone and get the untethered jailbreak. My phone is already unlocked with the 4.2.1 firmware and with the ipad baseband.

Here are my questions:

1- After all that, is it 100% sure that i have the untethered jailbreak despite using the two routes?

2- In order to solve the battery issue, i have to use redsnow again with the option deactivate. If i do so, will i loose the untethered jailbreak ( if i actually have it ) ?

3- If i decide to run redsnow again. will i be able to jailbreak it again with the greenpoison to get the untethered jailbreak without losses?

Thank you very much, maybe my english is not so clear because i am not a native speaker.

Thanks Frank.
If i manage to get an MAC BOOK here, can i do the jailbreak with the Pwnage Tool in order to have it unthetered, can i still unlock it with the ultrasnow if i install the ipad baseband?

Do you think it would be easier just do it with the redsnow since it automatically installs the ipad baseband on the iphone?

Thanks again

Hello,

I am in Brazil with a locked 3GS iphone, 4.2.1 baseband 05.15.04. I don't have a AT&T SIM CARD, is that a problem to make my jailbreak and unlock proccess?

As long i am not a native english speaker, i don't get everything on this topic. With this new release, do i still need the ipad baseband to unlock my phone??

And if i am not wrong, the Pwnage tool only works with the mac computers right?

I really appreciate your help and congrats to the Dev Team.

Thank you very much Jesusmadrazo

I will be able to use 3g technology back in my country.

I have two more questions, the blog says that you cant do the restore after you unlock an iphone like mine, how would i restore and jailbreak it again?

And what about this tethered stuff? Should I worry about it? If my phone looses its battery i just have to redo the process?

Again, you were very helpful, I get most of it from the blog, but it's good to get information straight from someone.

Hello aksansai

I need some straight information, i am looking forward to your help. I am not a native english speaker so it's kind of hard to understand everything is written in the blog, because of the technical language and stuff...

My situation is: I have an iphone 3Gs version 4.2.1 in baseband 5.15.04. If i do the unlock process right now will i be able to take it back to my country, use it as phone and its apps?

And since you have this new information coming on, should i wait a little bit more and get and full and untethered unlock+jailbreak for my specific phone? I am leaving soon so i really need this help!

Thanks man!

Hello!

Here is my situation: I have a 3Gs iPhone version 4.2.1, firmware 05.15.04, i want to unblock it in order to use it in another country

Whats the big issue about losing the chance of restore of the itunes?
Will I be able to use applications or whatever iphone provides?
What about this tethered unlock/jailbreak? What does it mean? I am not a native english speaker and the translation doesnt make sense

Thanks for the help
