The FN Dish : Sneak Peek: Melissa's New Show!

Congrats Melissa! I loved both finalists and it's always a shame someone has to lose. Jeff was a gem too (and probably hates the mean comments being made against Melissa because he’s nicer than those people). My real comment is : Who came up with the $10 dinner idea? She told us about good breakfast tricks too. It’s almost mean to pigeon hole her as a cheap cook rather then a cleaver, coupon clipping wife & mom, and don't families of 4 ever throw parties? You already have Sandra who counts pennies for the viewer. Melissa showed so many areas of cooking during the contest and they weren’t always for the kitchen table. Sure, you could double the recipes - but usually folks go a little more upscale for parties and she could have taught us so much. Why put that limit on her talents? The Survival idea was so much better and I got excited. It could also have applied to working families with no time to prepare for a special event and need her good, budget crunching ideas for that too. Please rethink the Survival idea before it hits the air and give her a chance to spread out. She has great ideas– let her use them.
