I must have said it wrong because she started talking about how much fun it's going to be and so on. I had to tell her I really have to do this alone a few days later (even though I should have told her right away so she wouldn't have gotten her hopes up in the first place, but I'm really bad at doing that to people and honestly, I wouldn't have told her at all if her dad wouldn't have said no to her going on the trip...) Now she won't understand why I desperately want to travel alone, and maybe that's my fault because I'm not very good with words and didn't know how to explain her. Beautifully written, Cameron.
