I have always appreciated what Glen Beck is doing for us. But I have to say when I saw that video it brought tears to my eyes. I am a former vet. I have to say that what I saw there made me realize that what we have done overseas during and after my time and before my time... its not in vain, unless we allow it be in vain.

Thank you for that video. Its time people see it. Its time everyone in this country sees it with no exceptions. We are fighting a war that we cannot stand to lose for the sake of our children and the honor of our forefathers. Even though we fight with words and principles we must all remember the most dangerous threat to any socialist system is the free thinker and a heart of freedom founded on principle.

I understand where you come from on this comment. Yet if I may offer a point. I served with the US Marines and during my time of service worked in military intelligence. After getting out of the military I had a low paying job. Since I was alone and not married I lived in my car for an entire winter waking up at 3am to warm up the car so I would not freeze. I would take showers at a friends place and eat what I could afford which was not much. I didnt want help nor did I ask for pity, hey its life.

I fixed a few things in my finances by living this way to be able to afford a place to rent. I met a woman from the Philippines (I was doing a little bit better by this time but not much) and we became married. I sold my only gun, bike and a ps2 that was given to me in order to get money for INS paperwork then went the furniture, what little I had anyway for her plane ticket. For three years we lived in poverty, lost a child, our second child has severe scoliosis that she is having a very difficult time battling at the age of 4 and threatens her life.

Now we have two children, still renting, but very little in the way of borrowed money other than a car. When economic crisis hit we did not have anyone breathing down our neck because most of what we have we paid for in cash other than our car. We are not rich but we have a nice life. We still struggle because we send our cihldren to a private Christian school and daycare (pre-ed included) for more money per month than my rent cost me. I could afford a very nice house if I combined that cost with what I pay in rent at the moment. Yet I refuse to allow my children to be taught that big bang created rather than God.

Times have been hard, but its the choices we make and the sacrifices that we make which will define what we become. I do not know your story but it sounds similar to mine in the brief two sentences you stated. My point is dont give up. It is just up to us to decide what is a need verses a want and accept less than desirable standards in some areas of life. I remember eating ramen noodles for weeks while my kids ate better than I did. Dont let it get you down. Yet for me, I refused to use credit other than where I had to and I refused to accept a handout. Never have had food stamps, welfare or anything. More people should wake up to this reality of self pride and the importance of teaching their children these principles. My daughter already has challenges that I have never faced. It is my responsibility to teach her the principles she will need in life. Sadly many parents cannot teach their children anything other than to hold out their hands when they face no challenges whatsoever other than what cartoon they wish to watch on television.

HEY REPUBLICANS AND DEMOCRATS IN SENATE do you have the backbone to do that? Come on post your reply here you know your a closet Glen Beck fan and you at least have to see what people say behind your back. Tell you what if any member of congress can do that to the Washington administration you deserve your pay this year, the rest we should strip down to nothing.

Ok as an investor and stock trader I have to put my two cents in here. First of all calling a bottom is impossible by far more intelligent men than we have in Washington so I dont buy it just because they say it.

Second of all within most circles that I deal with and that includes foreign investors almost all of us agree that what we call a pseudo bottom may be obtained but let me define what that is before you scream at me. A pseudo bottom is not a bottom but rather an artificial bottom created by massive spending. Once the money runs out the floor falls out from under you. Why is this so? Mechanically the macro economics that control the economy most likely will not have repaired itself and with massive spending the likelihood of it being able to repair itself soon has been severely damaged.

Thirdly the real estate bust may not be over yet. At this moment there are many people watching the commercial real estate market with some amount of worry. There are stress signs and some fractures appearing but as of yet nothing marking that we will be facing the end of the world ...yet.... While Washington places so much focus on their pet projects and banks people forget about how consumer spending and other macro facets affect this market. Most people completely missed that two commercial banks were just taken over by the Fed this past weekend albeit due to their own fault for not knowing their own books but again part of the stress signs.

Fourthly in order for a real bottom to be in place you need more than just the DJIA to be north of 0 by so much of a percentage. Be careful of those who call mechanical bottoms based upon a book someone wrote. Typically a real bottom will be well rounded and will only really be seen in hindsight. With bailout money propping up the markets it really runs a muck to dis cipher what the market wants to do verses what it is being manipulated to do via politics, emotion of buyers and fundamentals of the market.

My take is they all have their heads so far up their backside they cannot see the light of day and simply believe that it must at some point end so why not say later this year and give the people hope. Fundamentally there is no way they can call it and know it.

Ok I have a question. Why would Obama not accept his resignation? Would that be a move to cover Obamas back side or what perhaps?

The moment I saw Obama as a candidate what you just said about him being a "Constitutional" lawyer hit my my mind. For me when it comes to my personal opinion and especially in the voting booth that fact caused great concern to me. Today we have issues coming out that I never believed I would see within this country such as this salary cap. I just do not see anything good coming from any of this mess no matter who points the finger what whomever. The more finger pointing that takes place the more radical the ideas we hear about get. Yet with Obama having been a lawyer within that capacity one would assume that the decisions that he has made within his own mind he believes they must be within the confines of the constitution. This alarms me even more. It is one thing to deal with ignorance, that can be solved with education. The problems we face now are much deeper.

If you look at my blog I deal with the idea of revolution and there are many that took place, some in recent years that were very peaceful without a single shot fired such as the ousting of Estrada and Marcos in the 1980s within the Philippines. Basically what I am saying is that there is more than one way to skin a cat if you will. If utilizing the system itself fails and personally I believe that it will fail through that method due to many reasons ranging from corruption to economic issues we do have other options. From my understanding the States themselves have the ability to dissolve the Federal government unless I am mistaken and someone can correct me there. We can also "revolt" as we are now with the tea parties seeking a peaceful solution.

The only time I would say to bring out the guns is if and when it is in self defense just as we have always had that right. Yet I cannot sit back and tell you that it could not come down to defending ourselves, hey with what we have seen this year anything is possible. We just need to do our job and handle it in the best and most professional way possible first and foremost.

I like Principle number 6. We all can decide what we choose to be in this life whether a doctor, lawyer, construction worker, military personnel. It just blows my mind when government decides to take from those who have worked so hard in their life to not just make money but to become professionally what they chose to be. Its a double slap in the face adding insult to injury when they say they will take our money and not show us any respect for being a productive citizen on top of it. Yet bailout after bailout and tax after tax that is what is happening. Honestly I would not feel so bad if it were stolen by a thief that broke into my home as I do when the government steals from me!

Never in my life have I been so proud as an American as I am this day. To be surrounded by my brothers and sisters who still believe that "we the people" of the United States still hold the passion of our forefathers. The 9 Principles and 12 Values truly define what is American. If used as a measurement against our government today we have a very desperate situation at hand. I do not fear for myself. Death does not bring me fear. I fear for our children. Each of us have a responsibility handed down to us from those who came before us. Lets not dishonor them. I would rather die than be a slave. I would rather have never had children if I knew all they had in this life to look forward to was slavery.

For one hundred years our rights have been attacked but never so boldly as they are today in our generation. I am proud to stand with each and every one of you. I am also proud that this is our responsibility for I am confident that this generation has the pride and courage to take on all that may come before us. While I may be a citizen of the United States that in of itself means little to me. Yet I can stand here before you all today and say for once in a very long time, I am truly proud to be an American. We are a proud nation of people not a census of citizens. It is time we remind Washington of their place.
