that fee is what AC milan agreed to as a transfer fee, to let PSG talk to Silva and Ibra about a contract offer... its AC who are cashing in on the players. They dont negotiate with the player first

i agree that was a stupid transfer, but on the balance of it all, when he signed with Barca he signed for a HUGE wage for a few years... for someone who was a trouble maker, keeping him on our books could have potentially cost us more than 24million euros, if we had kept him when you add the few extra years wages and a contract termination fee... it was a crappy deal getting him in, not the worst getting him out at the same time, had his attitude been a bit different, and barca won more things with Ibra, the transfer wouldnt have looked so bad lol

the guy is over 30 and is signing what might be his last contract, that extra % tax does make a difference, and i wouldnt blame him for not only cashing in, but making the most of the playing time he has left. those weird 60th minute subs are when the midfield starts to tire, and as u said, losing control of the game. Keita is there to bolster the midfield, and try to get supremecy back again

definately right, Adriano is needed this season, Alba has come off the EUROS and will play in the Olympics and then what, all 60-70 games? Adriano is vital. These kids cant have that full on pressure to be the back up player.. not yet anyway. id like to keep affelay just because he gives us something different, and has had a bit more time in the system with the coaches and knows whats expected... just as u said, to stop that integration time needed for a replacement if we do need a back up, its either CB to cover Masch helping out in DM more without keita, or a DM as a direct replacement for Keita who can also play as CB... fontas suits that role, but if we need to buy, i think it would need to be someone in a similar mould, and not at the expense of other positions being sold

not sure how great that sounds.... we lost keita, and want to sell adriano and affelay... 3 players for one signing, for 2 positions? that sucks if there is an injury or 2 and we r short on players. lets not worry on the big names, and just bring quality reinforcements. There is plenty of quality out there and we need to find the ones who are happy and capable of doing their best off the bench

Im sure he really wanted to play in the Olympics, which is a shame for him. But if he, and the rest of us will take this as a positive, we will have an ultra-fresh and motivated thiago ready to go next season. Thats pretty dangerous for the opposition, as we all know what Thiago is capable of We will also have an ultra-fresh and ultra-motivated David Villa... THAT excites me too :D and i dont think we can discount how valuble Villa is for Barca's system
