missy8s,
I agree!!! we must do all above and find more peaceful but disruptive ways to get our point across!
One thing that comes to my mind is a slow down of Washington's traffic . Could you see 10 thousand 9-12ers driving down in Washington streets at 10 miles per hour!
our cars with tea bags, bumper stickers and posters!
Send in one marine(or should i say under ) with an underwater drill!
What are they going to do shot at the marine and put some more holes in the boat?
"How long can you tread water HA HA HA!" Bill Cosby
1. Senators should be appointed to congress by the state, at the state's pleasure. 2. All congress should be compensated for their time in Washington as original intent (if you are making $10 /hr at home then that is what you are paid!) Room and board to be provided. 3. No health care, no retirement, no frills. 4. Congress meets at least once a year and no more than 4 wks TOTAL! 5. Flat sales tax (15%) and no more! 6. Follow the Constitution (the welfare clause does not give you rights to do anything except in defense of the country). 7. Abolish all environmental educational, laws, and let the states decide on those. 8. All bills must be brought back to the people to discuss and be voted on the following YEAR. 9. An emergency is to be determined by the governors of the states with a 3/4 majority. 10. Balanced budget is required every year! 11. Borders to be secured.
pistolmom, do you remember when Prez. Bush(sr. i think )said he didn't like broccolli and someone delivered a truck load to the Whitehouse!
Any one have a truck for teabags!!
The big question is, "Why isn't West Virginia throwing out Byrd or Pennsylvania throwing out Spector?" They bring home the bacon. Can we set limits at the state level? Or at least requirements, such as a requirement to show a birth certificate BEFORE you are put on a state ballot? I think we need to go back to the original requirements set down in the constitution... compensation for their time!!! No pay, no salary - just compensation for their time! The other thing was how often they met (at least once a year). It would be hard to lobby people if they had such a limited time in D.C.
