Many have given their life in service of this country so that Hippie Liberal can freely spout out his recommendations on how the government should and shouldn't spend their/our money. Hippie should just thank us all and go volunteer at his local VA, not waste our time on this forum. - Just sayin'!

...(continued from previous post) Maybe you should not speak on the behalf of others – that’s how rumors start, but if you do maybe you should focus on elaborating about it rather than trying to insult others. Your previous post and repost involved more time trying to insult me than adding any positive value to this thread. Channel 8 now will surely zero in on this issue and bring it to everyone’s attention who has not read this post.
I did sleep well, thank you I have spent many years in the military and have war time spec ops experience. I have hung my ribbon. I may come to this town green to hang one of my own on behalf of other who may be told not to.
By the way, nice log in name but its registered already. You may want to find a different log in name that differentiates you from me ‘milfordresident’. We are obviously not two minds that think alike, and I’d prefer others see it that way too. Good day sir/mam.

With the utmost sincerity, I find it hard to believe you can label me as a heartless person when you do not know me. I'm not here to be attacked for my opinion so I'll just ignore your negative comment toward me and any future comments from you as well because it adds no value to this thread. But I will leave you with this…
It is YOU who has brought to everyone’s attention that this board member you speak of is a Viet Nam vet engaged in a debate about visually recognizing our soldiers and sailors who fight on foreign lands, and YOU have raised the question in all of our reader’s mind that this vet has caved to town politics for his own agenda rather than fight to ensure that all solders in this town are recognized individually not collectively with one ribbon. I’m sure this vet is ‘elated’ that YOU have drawn unnecessary attention to him that he may not be doing enough to convince others about how important these ribbons are, besides letters and care packages. What a shame when the town personal image is more important than the cause behind the multiple ribbons. The heartless board member(s) should be embarrased for they either forgot or do not know what it is like to be in combat. Sleep well in your warm beds tonight Mr & Mrs board members while our sons fight for your freedom sleeping in the desert with their boots on and weapon by their side. I'm sure they appreciate the single ribbon. If you decide to run for public office next election make sure you only put up only one sign, OK?
