So are all comments by everyone being approved these days? At least one of my comments never got posted. On the one hand, who cares. On the other hand, part of the Contentions experience is the back and forth in the comments. If that is being shut down, to heck with it. I'll quit reading the site. I don't comment anywhere else - most other sites don't have the quality comment section that this site has, in my opinion. Be sorry to lose it.

What is truly amazing is that despite repeated demonstrations of gross incompetence, the nation seems willing to give him and his party the benefit of the doubt. Where is the outrage?

I agree that if the Healthcare.gov fiasco isn't turned around it could spell disaster for the Dems. Still, this guy is screwing up in every way imaginable, and he never takes responsibility for anything. Let's face it - he's basically a loser - yet there he is, in the White House, with approval ratings still in the mid to high 40s. Incredible,

Sadly, I think this is true. Hell, look at Rasmussen's generic congressional poll - Dems lead by 7. Go figure. Their Big Program is flailing badly, threatening to drag everything under with it, and the public is oblivious.
We're doomed.

Not sure it's a given that the "shutdown" was a fiasco for Republicans, but whatever. I guess if people keep repeating that enough it'll become fact.
I'd be more interested in what people have to say about the hostile media environment confronting Reagan. Considering I was 12 when he was elected, I don't remember much about that campaign. At any rate, I think the problem for conservatives now goes well beyond the hostile media - we are fighting a culture that has had 33 years to spiral downward since the Great Communicator beat up on Jimmy. That's a ton of voters who have been brought up on liberal banalities.

I might have agreed you with 1 year ago, when I confidently expected the American people to turn Obama out. No longer do I have that much faith in Americans seeing the blindingly obvious, and assessing blame where it belongs.
