You would have to be a saint or a wimp to never lose your temper when having to deal with all the Sir Humphreys on a daily basis.

Not to mention his mission to destroy the only viable transport infrastructure by encouraging local authorities to close roads and, in the longer term, eliminate non-electric private cars. This man has no place in the Conservative party and would be more at home in the Greens or Lib Dems.

Amazed that Grant Shapps' ratings are as high - a transport secretary who seems determined to destroy the only viable part of the transport infrastructure, namely roads and private cars. Especially at a time when the coronavirus has shown cars to be the only practical and safe means of transport.

My concern is that after the virus has passed the NHS will be untouchable. I understand Boris' s appreciation but hope he knows his recovery is due to the clinical and ancillary staff, 75% of whom are brilliant (the less said the better about the rest) and not to the NHS as an organisation which is an outdated, burocratic organisation that generally is content to perform to the lowest standard it can get away with.
As a small example, two weeks ago I received a phone call to arrange a gastroscopy which was agreed for two months hence - tough luck if the condition is urgent. I the received two letters confirming two appointments at the same time and on the same day, in two different departments of the hospital. In the same post was another letter cancelling the appointments and saying they would be in touch "in a few months"! No commercial organisation would get away with such shoddy service and we are supposed to be grateful?
I pay a lot of money to my private dental clinic and to my pets' vet, but I'm happy to do so as their attention is prompt and efficient, and importantly they listen and do what you ask, but then the fact that I am a paying client obviously concentrates their minds, it certainly does make an enormous difference, so I would be more than happy to see moves to private model with insurance based funding which the government could obviously subsidise for the less well off.

Boris's mistake was to allow old friendships or even family ties influence his government appointments..

He should know by now that these Remainers have no loyalty to their leader, party or even their country; all they care about is their beloved EU.

That's why the 21 who lost the whip should never be allowed back into the party. Irrespective of what they say, or the manifesto they say they support at the next election, once back in Parliament they would resume their old tricks.
