Cummin.gs : Solving the vortex of Social Media

Yes Scott it has saved me a ton of time every day just by cutting out leaving my email open all day. If I leave it open I find that I just seem to go back and look at it as if something is about to come in. Its a bad habit, and no one should be THAT accessible.

Soap Box Included : The Big Un-Follow, Re-Follow

and it seems my friend @imdane should have read this post before publicly calling you out about being a spammer. I have to say however that I did in fact tag you for a spammer as well when he asked me about it. After reading around the blog a bit, I like what you are trying to do. I am curious however how you plan on manually following a million people. I don't want to count to a million, let alone do a million page loads and follows requiring a minimum of at least three million clicks :) @michaelcummings

Well you see, jealousy is never going to show its face until its a serious problem. People know it is an unattractive trait, and no matter how much they fight it, if it is there it will come out eventually. Its hard to say you wont date someone who is insecure, because almost all people I know, male and female are insecure in some way...

Cummin.gs : A look at leadership

Margaret, Thank you for your reply. I know that everything that is wrong is not just the fault of the recent past generations. We are in a mess though, and I am proud to be a part of the generation of now. The amazing thing about generation turn over is the gap that separates them. I can only imagine how smart our children's generation is going to be in comparison to my generation. I grew up with computers, they are going to grow up with things we haven't even thought up yet.... it is going to be very interesting to see where things go in the near future with all the decisions being made on both macro and micro levels. I wrote this post specifically to point out the opportunities for leadership in this world currently, and I think I may have deviated from that a bit, but the purpose is still there. You and anyone else can take a role in leading people to a better future, company, family, or anything else that can be lead.

Also, Sunstroke (nice one Chris) has a point that people are way too uptight these days. The majority of the T-Shirts on the site are not terribly offensive, and the ones I don't quite get are probably making perfect sense to someone else... I just shrug my shoulders and move on...

Chris, I agree that the company is not set up with the best moral intention, and I doubt very many will care when its gone... I've never bought a t-shirt from them, but I found the letter to be quite funny (as it was intended to be) and any business owner has his/her own right to do what they want with the company. I might have however just chosen to sell it if all I was tired of was the harassing emails and death threats they probably got....

I was under the impression that we had relatively close to the amount that we needed, but were just looking for more funding to get more space... If this is the case, then I do retract my statement about the return of the $100. I will see who I can talk to about some more sponsorship. I don't quite think its fair for Todd to have to front that kind of cash by himself...

$100 should be an amount that is acceptable for someone who really wants to come and failed to register in time. This is a community event, and their money isn't going into someones pocket, its going back to the community where everyone benefits. It would be much better for us to find some more sponsorships although. There is obviously a lot of interest in the BIL and I find it hard to believe that a company wouldn't want to sponsor and get their name in front of this group. The people who come to BIL are the types to spread the word and the news around. The individual $100 sponsorships should be held and only used in the case of another company sponsor not coming forward. I don't feel like individuals in the community should have to shell out that kind of money if a company comes forward to secure more space for the event. Any thoughts??
