They can still get the characters on screen very organically in season 2, and nothing really would be missing in season 1, where Blackfish serves more as a foil / background filler. I won't go check the details of GOT again, so I can enjoy the series more :) It's a reasonable move and I am sure a shift very reasonably dealt with. Didn't think about the ending, but yes, makes sense no Riverrun characters are shown, otherwise they haven't saved much with the shuffling :) Wonder about the duel, though - what will be Bronn's advantage? Will Egen be as stupid as to wear the heavy armour from the books? doesn't fit with his younger character somehow.
