Breitbart.com : Time for \'new world order\': Brazilian President

Actually, Brazil is the eighth largest economy in the world and is a debt-free nation at the moment having repaid all of their IMF & World Bank loans in the last few years. They have abundant natural resources (oil & minerals). They have a huge agricultural sector. They have a thriving ethanol industry that keeps their transportation running cheaply. Lula isn't looking for a handout. In fact, Brazil just donated $10 billion to the IMF. While Brazil still has a high poverty rate the country has been on the right track economically for the past 20+ years. You underestimate our neighbors to the south, and it is precisely this "gringo" arrogance which gives them they're reasoning for using our misfortune as an opportunity to bolster their own standing in the world, along with the rest of the BRIC nations. Brazil could be an excellent ally and partner for the USA - if only we'd treat them as such instead of so many of you wrongly confusing them with Mexico & Venezuela. Who knows; in the near future we may need them more than they need us.

The only thing you "salute" Steven for is saying something you couldn't put into words if you tried. You merely "agree" with him, you don't care about his courage. Because if next week he says something you despise; you'll "salute" him with an F.U. for his cowardice. Everything else in your post was pot=kettle B.S., hyperbole, pompous self-righteousness, and blatantly obvious asinine patronizing.

Personally, I was much more offended at the conservative women "Hate F**k" list. Now that little piece of work was no doubt intended to be funny, but it wasn't. Instead it came very close to portraying extreme sadism and angry misogyny. I didn't find it funny, and if it had been reversed and aimed at liberal women the feeling would've been exactly the same - disgust. Disgust that not only could a man write such a vile diatribe and have it published by a major magazine, but that our society has degenerated to such a degree that something like that could be proclaimed so widely & publicly as opposed to the backrooms of men's clubs and male locker rooms where it belongs (if it even belongs there). The far-left seems to take great joy in highly offensive sexual jokes lately purely for the shock value and the cheap laughs. They've also acquired a severe fetish for the silliest of stereotypes when commenting about anyone who is white, conservative and/or Christian. There's a Republican hack in S.C. taking all kinds of heat this week for a "joke" comparing Michelle Obama to a gorilla on his Facebook profile. And, rightfully so; he deserves the heat and all of the backlash he's receiving for his insensitivity. But the left conveniently forgets all the "Bush/Chimp" jokes that they dished out for eight years. That's a HUGE double-standard, despite any long-time cultural stereotypes associated with blacks and apes. The left always wants it both ways, especially when it comes to insulting and degrading their opponents. ---- Steven, your #1 & #2 I can agree with, except for the "double-standard" by the left already mentioned. But #3 goes right along with the Playboy piece, in my opinion, and is below contempt, bordering on hateful bullying - something the left can dish out in heaping piles but gets offended at in a heartbeat if the target is one of their protected groups or one of their cult of personality heroes.

1. No, the argument does not fail in court. Instead, the court fails to acknowledge the obvious inconsistencies of their application of the laws for homicide in favor of abortion. 2. The Supreme Court rules that abortion is a private matter between a woman and her doctor. Therefore it is in the public interest to protect the woman's privacy. However, if the woman in question is a resident of a state with a "medical marijuana" law, that same Supreme Court does not recognize her privacy and deems her smoking a joint to be more harmful to the public good than murdering her unborn offspring. 6. In many states and through the federal system it is entirely lawful to dispose of anybody who has been judged guilty of a horrendous crime and sentences them to death. 3-10. All law is a matter of personal & combined opinion about morality & ethics based on cultural norms and enacted for the good of society. Your case is weak, as all illogical, immoral, and inconsistent arguments are.

You are talking about a nation that thinks "Reality Shows" are actually reality, and you expect the sheeple to determine the difference between an adapted work of fiction and documentary? That line was blurred to the point of non-recognition when Moore did Fahrenheit 9/11 - and won an Oscar for it.

Says it all about the American public school system doesn't it? Don't worry, we'll just pay the teachers more, spend more money for technology to teach the kids, let the TV and MySpace teach them everything the teacher missed..... and everything will work out just fine.

First, education is redesigned as indoctrination. Second, the family unit is destroyed via that indoctrination. Third, the culture is changed via media, arts, academia, enterprise & marketing, and the state to reinforce the previous changes. Lastly, religion is ridiculed and maligned as an ancient relic of past oppressors. In the end you are left with a culture & society with no morality, no basic beliefs except what the state & science believes are eternal truths, and no traditions to defend itself against progressive-socialist ideals. Basically, you have then created the perfect narcissistic, atheistic, decadent society of citizen-workers/consumers - "Utopia."

"We?" How many of your multiple personalities does it take to get together in a socialist, bureaucratic, committee and decide what is "decent," what the rest of us believe our "true values" are, and how the rest of us should "progress" further into debt for your collective "we" to embrace your politically correct nanny state and force it on the rest of us? Your collective definition of fascism is false propaganda, and your knowledge of history is abysmal. Just because your collective "we" believes something to be true; doesn't necessarily make it truth.

Who said anything about classifications? You were talking about your own assumptions and another commentator's "rational basis" as I recall. Now who's the one making illogical and irrational assumptions? You can find just as much, or more, extreme Islam in the UK as you can in Algeria. You're going to look like a real idiot if it turns out this guy is a Muslim, and the original comment will look like a logical assumption based on a rational probability. "Reportedly"? The police got him on tape from security cameras, with more bags of his own excrement waiting in his home! Don't play lawyer on breitbart.com comment sections.
"The 42-year-old Algerian......." ------ "97% of the population is classified ethnically as either Arab or Berber and religiously as Sunni Muslim." ---- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Algeria#Demographics ---- I think it's pretty safe to say this guy practices Islam, and by the looks of it; he's also on his own personal whacked out version of Jihad. Surely no thinking person would deduce such a thing based on such overwhelming odds, right? Does this mean I think all Muslims spray their bodily waste around in public? No. Just this one...... that we know of.

Big Hollywood : Me? Or Your Lying Eyes? II

I loved that snarky, yet nervous, incredulous-freshman-girl-giggle he let out after the reporter backhanded his "two handed handshake" lie back across the court. He then followed up with the classic: "When did this happen? Last week?" --- Hey Robby-boy; when did Bush happen? - last year? When did AIG bonus contracts happen? - last several years? When did Geithner pay *all* of his taxes in the last decade? - not until this year? When did Obama leave Rev. Wright's church? - not early enough? When did the Civil Rights movement happen? - last century? When did America A-bomb Hiroshima and Nagasaki? - the last World War? When did slavery cause a civil war in America and the release of said slaves? - way back in1861 - 1865?? ------- Apparently the "Here & Now" only applies to the progressive narrative when following the modern propaganda and public relations of "Hope & Change."

True, but, conveniently; they could always blame Bush 41 for sending them into Somalia to begin with. The U.N. wasn't lily-white in that fiasco either.... and we see now, fifteen years later, exactly what's been the result.

Hollywood already considers Miley white-trash because of her father. This only reinforces that belief. Because as everybody in La-La Land knows..... people who believe in Jesus and aren't products of Yale, Harvard, Manhattan, or Beverly Hills High are by definition: redneck, fascist, hypocritical, white-trash (see Brtiney as an example). And their worst possible PC sin is if these pieces of trash say something really crazy like: "I believe fetuses are unborn babies, and that abortion is murder." Juno (Greek Goddesses are cool in L.A.) can get away with being pro-life, but only so long as she never mentions why she's pro-life and she decides to give that baby up for adoption to a single mother/ex-wife out of revenge for having a childish pig of a husband. If anybody wonders why this nation is so screwed up and confused - look no further than the moral dilemma and hypocrisy that Hollywood not only perpetuates, but needs; as the conflict between good, evil, and hypocrisy = drama, drama, and eventually more $$$$.$$ by the truckload. L.A. knows what sells to the masses of "peons & morons" they manipulate like Pavlov's dog.

Hollywood did produce "Blackhawk Down" a decade ago. Of course; this film was pro-soldier and insights about heartwarming brotherhood solidarity & valor in the face of crisis. Yet it was also anti-war against Americans invading poor African nations to feed the starving but whose "leaders" rise up against their imperial oppressors (who screw up at every opportunity and get their soldiers killed). ------ Now that I think about it; I'm still not sure of what the hidden political theme was in that movie (there seem to be many). I might watch the DVD again over the weekend and refresh my memory.
