MetsBlog.com : Note: David Wright is focused on the Loss

Mets will be fine. Look it's not like they are getting blown out of games except possibly the Perez game. We need to be a bit patient and let the team come together. New park - they were nervous- it will improve. Give it time. Know it's hard sometime - but we Met fans are way too impatient. Let's keep it positive

MetsBlog.com : Buzz: Deadline Deals, Hudson wanted NYC

Please let's give the team some time - come back in June. They will improve. I'm sure some of them were nervous. Please stop booing as they are giving the effort. They need our support through the year. No team changes are on the horizon so lets go with the team we have. I get frustrated as well but it's way to early to abandon ship.

MetsBlog.com : Note: Castillo's Sac-Bunt

It's one error- i do not want to go crazy. But it was a bad error in a close game - that will kill you over time. Especially if Santana has no faith in you out there. Let's not sugercoat this-Murphy we all know has fielding issues. That said-he does not benefit from catching balls one handed. Not sure which Met coach is responsible for him and training him-i would start with you need to catch the ball with two hands. Will not go crazy beyond this-but he needs to focus on the defense as well as his hitting.

I agree with you - why can't we honor past Mets instead of past Dodgers all the time. How about Gil Hodges, Tommie Agee\\, Donn Clendenon etc etc.

My concern is he is not hitting the ball sharply-only on a few occasions. I haven't seen him drive a ball to the outfield deep-hate to bring it up but is the toe he hurt during the World Baseball Classic bothering him? Hope it is just a mini slump-you're right he has numbers- but he is not really sharp at this time- and we won't win without him.

I don't want to panic yet but I do see what you are saying. Castillo and Castro are pathetic at the plate-Castro still is fat and Castillo-well! If the bats we count on don't deliver we are going to have an issue. Think Reyes and Wright are having a rough time getting started-have to stay patient there. Still think the Mets should have got Hudson and released Castillo but that's an old story-I'll let is go. BTW-I missed it why was Schneider replaced with Castro - he didn't get hurt did he?

I agree. Wright uinfortunately is struggling-may be pressing. Beltran is really smoking the ball well.
