But here is a huge problem: equipment companies charging outrageous fees for everyday equipment. for instance: my insurance company just spent $400 on a five foot piece of plastic tubing. that's on top of my $100 deductible. When I saw that I was floored. There is no way that is not a rip off. I am debating on whether to continue this type of therapy because I think the equipment company is seriously overcharging for its stuff. So how do we control this kind of problem.? Something needs to be done about controlling some of these costs! Yet we continue to debate the need for universal health care. It's scandalous. We need universal health care. It should be a single payer system . We can't afford NOT to do it.
