I applaud all efforts to provide universal health care. But here is a huge problem: equipment companies charging outrageous fees for everyday equipment. for instance: my insurance company just spent $400 on a five foot piece of plastic tubing. that's on top of my $100 deductible. When I saw that I was floored. There is no way that is not a rip off. I am debating on whether to continue this type of therapy because I think the equipment company is seriously overcharging for its stuff. So how do we control this kind of problem.? Something needs to be done about controlling some of these costs!

We are in a time in this country when we have spent half a trillion dollars to "rescue" failing banks and companies due to the stupidity and greed of their managers. Yet we continue to debate the need for universal health care. It's scandalous. We need universal health care. It should be a single payer system . We can't afford NOT to do it. This debate has been raging for at least 35 years. When I was a struggling mother with a sick child whom insurance companies refused to cover
