Big Hollywood : Daily Gut: The Mathematics of Terror

I am not surprised. I once got into an argument with someone who was outraged that they were executing Stanley Williams (the founder of the Crips street gang); she was also outraged about waterboarding; and I'm sure she would agree to protect this terrorist instead of deporting him where he might be tortured. A lot of people think using this type of backwards logic -- it's actually pretty scary. Good for Gutfeld calling them out on this using humor. Unicorns rule!

Big Hollywood : 'Little Obama': Indonesian Film Portrays Obama's Early Years

I almost expect a cartoon like Disney's Jungle Book to come out in the US about little Obama. Isn't it strange how many times Obama talks about his childhood in Indonesia and him studying as a boy? Who cares? Did President Bush or Clinton ever talk like that? It's weird. http://www.disneymovieslist.com/movies/jungle-boo...

Excellent commentary by Ms. Gabriel. She is absolutely right that many more radical Muslims will view this as a victory over America. Why are the Muslim civil rights groups claiming that this is discrimination or a violation of their civil rights? They enjoy so many freedoms here, why can't they please respect the 3,000 lives that were lost and build their mosque someplace else ?? Ms. Gabriel, can you please post again about how can we protest the building of this mosque?

See Ann Coulter and O'Reilly talk about this herehttp://www.popmodal.com/video/5291 He quit his job, travelled to Pakistan 13 times, and only later had problems with his mortgage, yet people keep on focusing on Foreclosure. Maybe if he spent more time working and less time planning his JIHAD he wouldn't have had those mortgage issues. He also had the same exposure to Anwar al-Awlaki that several other terrorists have. . . see herehttp://www.nytimes.com/2010/05/09/world/09awlaki....

Big Journalism : A Smoking Gun: Coverage Of Arizona Immigration Law Exposes MSM Bias

I have an email folder where I collect some very biased stories on various topics. This is one that I think illustrates the point nicely. From the New York Times. This obviously looks like a fake marriage to a man from Pakistan so he can stay in the US, and the New York Times tries to blame the INS for being skeptical of it. "Piecing Together an Immigrant’s Life the U.S. Refused to See" http://www.nytimes.com/2009/07/06/nyregion/06deta... I am soooo glad most people in the US are smarter than this and that they are starting to become aware of the problems associated with liberal media bias.

Big Hollywood : ZoNation: A Lil' Somethin' On Illegal Immigration

Bravo, Alfonzo, I am Hispanic and do not support Amnesty for illegal immigrants. I think it is important for people to realize that many Hispanic and African American people in this country do not support giving Amnesty. Somehow this is not what is portrayed in the media. They tend to show a few African American civil rights activists comparing this to slavery and segregation laws, or they tend to talk about how it will affect the "Hispanic Vote."

This is another example of how secure the Arizona border is PBS video on how many people die trying to cross the desert. http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/stories/mexico/... http://www.pbs.org/frontlineworld/stories/mexico/... I think it is terrible to call people in Arizona Nazi's. They are just trying to get a secure border and deal with the problems caused by having it completely open for the past few decades while the federal immigration authorities have been "asleep at the switch."

I think that, in fairness, the media needs to cover drug cartels/drug smuggling/drug "crystal meth" manufacturing in its coverage of the immigration debate. Not all immigrants are "hardworking families" that they like to portray in the media. There are so many illegal immigrants (or people who make their living transporting illegal things across the border), and I don't know that people like me who live in New York can criticize a state like Arizona where they see the effects of not having a secure border on a daily basis. Many people die crossing the AZ desert; many people who are crossing are not just looking for jobs, but are looking to make money by smuggling their "compatriots" into the country; or looking to make money by smuggling drugs or guns. People in Arizona, it seems, have had enough and I don't blame them. See here, this series on the history channel, Gangland. Does the border look secure to you???http://www.history.com/shows/gangland/videos/play... Here is a clip about Nuestra Famila (a Mexican gang)http://www.history.com/shows/gangland/articles/nu... And here is a clip about Mexican Mafia (La Eme)http://www.history.com/shows/gangland/articles/me... And here is a clip about MS13http://www.history.com/shows/gangland/articles/ms... See what an unsecure border and lack of federal enforcement of immigration laws is doing to this great country?

Big Journalism : Note To New York Times, MSNBC, WaPo and CNN: May Day Is Here and So Are the Actual Violent Protester

Ah, yes, see this video from the SEIU Union promoting the May 1st protests. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=onRGv93H7gM&fe... This is exactly why Americans should be concerned about "Shamnesty." If you grant all of those Mexicans amnesty, I think they would then be able to bring their family members from Mexico "Family Sponsored Immigration." So, if you give one Mexican "shamnesty" he will be able to then bring his brother and sister to the US. So you are not just "legalizing" the 10-20 million illegal immigrants who are in the US, you are essentially "inviting" 100 million Mexicans. I think that McCain would have tried to pass a similar Amnesty program, but the one good thing about B. Hussein Obama is that the American people are more skeptical of him and his "Hope and Change" Agenda.

This post mentions the SEIU union. I thought that this is the workers union for hospital employees? I could understand if they are working for benefits/wages/employment-related issues for their hospital staff, but why are they so involved in immigration "reform" (a/k/a "SHAMNESTY?) See herehttp://www.seiu.org/ They were also very involved in promoting health care legislation? I think I understand now where the term "Union Thug" comes from. . .

I am Hispanic (Colombian) and am opposed to granting amnesty to illegal immigrants. The vast majority of illegal immigrants are Mexican, and it is true that there are a fair number who are involved in gangs/drug-related activity. A common expression, among Mexicans, is "sin fronteras," or "without borders." I , for one, would like to see a much stronger border between the US and Mexico. I live in Queens, NY, and I see so many Mexicans (who I presume are here illegally) and I wonder why the federal government does nothing. A few years ago, I saw a photo of a Mexican man at an immigration march, with a sign that said "Break the Chains." Mexicans need to realize that they are not "enslaved," that they are free to leave the country at any time, and that, in fact, many Americans would volunteer to buy them a plane ticket home, as long as they promise to not come back!

I get the daily free email from the NYT with the headlines, and I am always shocked by the garbage the Op-Ed columnists post (such as Paul Krugman, Nicholas Kristof, Maureen Dowd, Gail Collins, Charles Blow) -- I promise you have never read such biased garbage. I am not surprised that readership is down 8.5%. I live in a suburb of NYC and even the busy commuter rail coffee shop has stopped carrying it. It now costs $2 and I don't think anyone should support that paper if they continue to run such biased Op-Eds.
