I agree with you. I CHOOSE everyday to love my husband. Marriage isn't a one-time deal. You don't say "I do" and then it's all fairytales after that. It's hard work sometimes. You have to make the choice everyday to love your husband. And let me tell you, when you do, the results are amazing! I can't say how much I love and cherish and honor my husband! I am truly blessed and I hope there are many more out there who feel the same way I do!!

I think, married or not, you have a great perspective on it. These women are focusing on how unhappy THEY are...what about their husbands? What is this selfishness doing to them? I cherish my husband. Yes, we fight...but who doesn't?! Besides, if you don't fight, it means you don't love enough TO fight. Besides, making up and knowing that everything's going to be okay is the best feeling in the world. We were at odds yesterday about the ever present "baby issue" and last night, we finally reached an agreement and in one year, we're going to start trying for a baby! I couldn't imagine "falling out of love" with that wonderful man who just promised me the one thing I've wanted more than anything else in the world. Cherish your husbands, ladies!! Really! They are God's most precious gift to you!!

That is such a great reminder! My husband and I have been having some financial difficulties and we have been focusing far too much on the money aspect of things. We may be living paycheck to paycheck, living on less than we would prefer but you know what? We're together. And there have been days when that has made all the difference in the world...the fact that I can come home at night to his smiling face and our 2 1/2 year old golden retriever. Guess it's the "little things" God has given us that really make us happy.

It is a difficult thing to do but will be so rewarding when, through His guidance, I have managed to do it! I am so glad, as well!! I cannot say how many wonderful people I have met through this blog. It started as a way for me to Bible study online...basically, it started out all about me. But He has changed it into all about Him! Amazing how that happens!! Through God, I have found so many wonderful people who are doing just like I am, trying to walk ever closer to our Loving Father!! Oh thank you, you just reminded me what I was thinking of shortly after writing this post. I don't know if you're familiar with the song but part of the lyrics right before the chorus are "she threw her hands up in the air" while the car is spinning on black ice and the "I can do it on my own" part of me says, "why would you ever let go of the wheel in times of trouble?" And there's our problem right there. We have it drilled into us that, in order to get through things like this, stay in control, don't let go of the wheel. But maybe, for God to really see us through things, we need to just throw our hands up and let Him take control?? (by no means am I suggesting people should drive down the road letting go of the steering wheel...this is purely metaphorical). Maybe that's what He wants us to do when things get rough? Just let Him take over and "save" us, or get us through it??? Something to think about.

I know, me too. It's just so hard for me to think of childbirth having anything to do with sin and stuff like that. Childbirth is such a miracle and a blessing. But you're right, it probably has to do with the whole "monthly".
