Tinyumbrella states that I have SHSHs saved for 4.0-4.3.3. This means I can only upgrade to one of these custom firmwares?

Need some help/advice.

I have a jailbroken and unlocked 3GS on 4.0.1 baseband 5.13.4. I have been wanting to upgrade to at least 4.2 but have a broken home button so no real way to set the phone into DFU mode. Is it still possible to upgrade my phone with redsn0w?

Hoping someone else may be in the same situation I am in.
I have a jailbroken and unlocked 3GS on 4.0.1 but my home button is broken. If I recall correctly, redsn0w requires that the phone be but into DFU mode and I cannot do so without a working home button. Is there anyone else who has a workaround or can speak from experience that it is still possible to update the firmware on my iPhone?
