MacDoctor : Obamacare Wins (Maybe)

The % of Heathcare of the OECD numbers for 2009 are out now. One thing that is curious is that for NZ the Health budget includes the disability sector which is roughly 20% of the budget. Do other countries include this in their health budget. NZ of course used to cover this in the Social Budget until Ruth Richardson pulled a switch to make the welfare 'look' as though they had made big changes, but had put more money into health.

Some states all ready have mandatory healthcare , so the predictions are the usual GOP scare stories. The things to remember are that the hospitals ( 70%) are mostly not for profit, but there is enormous waste as a city the size of Hamilton would have at least two full service tertiary hospitals, especially if there was a university in town.

You know so little about New Lynn electorate. It may be westie. but its like saying Howick is 'southside' . Whatever happened to Michael Jones, wasnt he supposed to be a brown hope for National too. But then he may have too many principles to belong in National

Whale Oil Beef Hooked | Gotcha! : Thank you Joris De Bres

If anybody thinks that Hawawaira has breached the Human Rights Act, then lodge a complaint. And see if Joris de Bres is right. As I understand having an 'opinion' is not a defence. But the way it was done as a private email , which was released by another person, could mean the views are not 'public'

Whale Oil Beef Hooked | Gotcha! : Should your rates be used to fund....

And theres more Auckland City councillors knew ticket sales were poor and a big loss was imminent when they bailed out the musical My Fair Lady to the tune of $1.4 million a week out from the opening, official papers show. Two star-studded plays lost a further $500,000 over the same period, taking losses for The Edge over one month to about $2.5 million. Thats right the Citrats (National & Act) want to control the Supercity. If they get in charge this is where your rates will be going. The (right) know no bounds when it comes to Throwing away money from ratepayers. And the lesbians got one thousandth of the money wasted on GBS and other tired old luuvies Back in 2002, yes the Citrats were at it again.. The three big productions it invested in - Blood Brothers, Chicago and The Underwatermelon Man - lost a total of $591,000. Is there on end to the incompetance

Yeah that happens all the time, Guy walks out ( highly unusual as its the woman who goes) and finds a unemployed squash professional 20 years younger. Pleeeease. Just the thing for election time for a leaflet drop. With the 20 yr difference in bold print. People draw their own conclusions. First there was 'Im entitled' Douglas , now we have ' Im not a martyr ' Hide. His words ( about freeloading politicians) will come back to bit his sorry arse come election time, and National can have Epsom back

Its time for a change only works ONCE. Look at what happened after the landslides won by Muldoon & Bolger. Act would be lucky to have Rodney 'walked out on wife for hottie' Hide back in Epsom, especially as Nikki Kaye will want a safe haven

Did I hear someone say Labour - lite. They stay at this level since they are wearing Helens clothes. Even little Caesar spends a lot of time overseas, like Helen did. Meanwhile his ministers have flouted his authority and got the taxpayers to pay for wives, girlfriends on expensive overseas trips. Hide is dead as a brand, Nikki Kaye will be looking for a safe haven come the next election and Epsom will be Oh so tempting

Lets go to the tape: Banks got 45,000 votes in 2007 and won Yet in 2004 he got 46000 votes and LOST Thats right he got even less votes but still was able to use the step ladder to sit in the mayoral Chair. WE have an incredible shrinking mayor and his shrinking votes.
