Hey Pasta, Not sure if you noticed or not, but you were mentioned as a source in GameInformer this month regarding 2K not continuing its hockey franchise. Pretty cool, eh?

Agreed, The only people knocking it are the people that aren't playing it. I'm really surprised I like it so much, but it's a blast to play!

Personally, I just wish they'd fix the game. Actually, I really don't care because I have a PS3 and I get to play the best baseball game ever in MLB: The Show! Peace

Have you actually played the game? The game is all about atmosphere, dude. You obviously haven't played the game making a comment like that. Feel free to leave an actually contstructive comment once you've played the game.

Well, this is actually a good game. So faith in EA or not, this game is a blast to play and the ESPN and CBS broadcasts are awesome! If you love college basketball you will love this game. And, by the way, the gameplay in NCAA 10 is the best thing, so it's hard to say that EA is dropping the ball here. Actually, it's the lack of gimicks that are keeping people away. No "Be a pimply-faced college kid" mode or "My school is better than your school" mode like college football, but the gameplay is spot on for sure. No commercials, no hype, doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad game. I'm usually picky about my sports games and when it comes to gameplay this game has it. Just because Pasta isn't playing it doesn't mean it's a bad game. Decide for yourself and give it a try.

If you're on the fence about getting this game, all I have to say is, if you're a college basketball fan, get this game. The presentation is awesome and having the CBS and ESPN broadcasts really makes the game exciting. The game is not without its flaws, but recreates the college basketball gameplay well and is a blast to play. I've been playing every chance I get since I purchased it and I am really surprised at how good the game is. It's amazing what no hype will do to a game. I'm just glad I took the chance on it because I am very happy. I'm a big time sports gamer and love the sim aspect of sports games and this game defintely hits the mark. And, no, I don't work for EA. I just know a good game when I play it. Peace

pastapadre.com : Natal Could Bring Baseball to 360

This motion sensing stuff is so ridiculous. What real gamer really wants this stuff? Hopefully not all developers will get caught up in this because all it's going to do is stunt the growth of games because they're going to have to go backwards to make this work well. See the Wii for example. Motion sensing was supposed to be so revolutionary and all it has become is a shake-the-controller-fest with games that have bad graphics and are dumbed down for an inferior system. Hey, but you get to wave your controller in the air! Isn't that cool? As long as they make this a small portion of the market that's cool. There could be a few games that it works with. Just hope they don't try and incorportate it across the board.

pastapadre.com : Release Day Problems for NBA 2K10

So you're saying he should make up information about a patch for 2K even though there are no details for it? And if he has details on a patch for Live, he should just ignore it because 2K hasn't given any info on there's yet? Nice. That makes a lot of sense. Maybe 2K should have released their patch info on day one since they had to know these issues existed. Oh, wait, EA probably paid Pasta to kidnap them and keep them from releasing the info cause that's the way they roll. Give me a break. And you're calling me naive. I highly doubt anyone decides to spend $60 based on what Pasta says here. I love this site because it gives ALL the info on sports games no matter who makes it and you decide from there. And, in case you haven't noticed, EA makes most of those, so EA will get a lot of coverage. That's just the way it is. When MLB The Show comes out it gets just as much coverage as any EA game. But keep believing your conspiracy theories. They're all out to get you!

What? I was just replying to you calling them an "underdog" company, because they are certainly not that. I wasn't defending them at all. And as far as the Niko voice actor thing, the guy was paid 100,000 for his work and just wants more, and if you actually looked at the source material yourself on the matter you'd see that his case isn't a stand-alone case, it's an industry thing and not Take Two being cheap or not being able to afford him. Give me a break, dude.

By the way, 2K will do just fine with or without 2K basketball. It's a subsidiary of Take Two Interactive which just so happens to own Rockstar games. Ever heard of Grand Theft Auto? What about Bioshock? They also made that one too. I think 2K will be just fine. Not defending 2K, because I actually bought NBA Live 10 this year for the first time, but just thought I'd respond to your "underdog" comment.

Dude, you need to learn how to read, because there has been no article claiming either game is flawless, so if that's what you've read into the articles than your reading comprehension skills are way off. And if this "shit" doesn't mean anything to you, why the hell are you bothering to post here?
Quote from IGN 2K10 Review "However, the AI can also wind up failing you terribly, leaving the lane wide open without reacting to the ball handler. In fact, the AI frequently demonstrates confusing behavior, such as frequently performing backcourt violations without defenders applying pressure, passing to players that run out of bounds instead of down the court, and extremely errant passes that careen wildly out of bounds. You can be subjected to the same horrible passes as well, since the targeting reticule is so tenuous that a pass to a lined up teammate can suddenly become an annoying turnover, even if you're using the icons to throw to someone else. " Neither game is perfect. Both have AI issues, so no need to act like 2K is flawless because it isn't.

I really think this has to to with who you are using to try and get to the basket. I've noticed that if I'm using a good driving player they are able to get to the basket. Can't just use anyone, which is actually realistic. I play as the Spurs and can get to the basket with Ginobli, Parker or Jefferson. Can't do it at will because this would be unrealistic, but it's enough.

We'll admit 2K is better when you admit that both games are great this year. Just because you bought 2K doesn't mean it's better. And 2K has a stronger fan base so it's going to take time for 2K fans to switch to NBA Live because 2K is still a great game, so the polls aren't going to be accurate either. But who cares? This is the first year it's really even been close, and I think that's great for gamers. I bought Live because (IN MY OPINION) the gameplay is more realistic and that makes me happy. I don't have to say NBA Live is better and convince you because I could care less what game you play. These, "My game is better than your game!" arguments are getting old. Can't we ever have an intelligent discussion about a game? Guess not. Oh, yeah, I guess your dad can beat up my dad too! Recess is over! Back to school little ones...

And if 2K had announced a patch he would have stated it. The problem isn't with the articles or what Pasta said, it's with the content themselves, and Pasta doesn't have anything to do with 2K putting out a patch or not. Simply put, EA is on top of fixing the minor problems in NBA Live and have stated so on the date of release, so he reported it. Why should he not report that there's a patch already in the works? 2K has said nothing about fixing their problems, and when they do I'm sure it will be reported here. Quit crying about someone reporting the facts.

Doesn't everyone cheese in EVERY online sport game? If you don't play someone you know you're pretty much bound to run in to cheesers constantly. That's why I stopped playing sports games online a long time ago unless it's with someone I know. Why people feel the need to cheat is beyond me.

I saw some pretty crazy simmed scores (really high, and really low) in Dynasty mode and have heard that there's some crazy A.I. trading going on in Dynasty as well. Have you experienced any of this? Just got a chance to play a little before going to work and did see some simmed scores that were really high 140-130 and really low, but that was just one night of games. Wanted to know if the forums are popping up with any other Dynasty issues that could be fixed in a patch.
