How could they have de-funded the law? we only hold one house of congress and with no budget in place there is no spending control by the house appropriations committee, so show me how it could have been defunded. additionally making slurs on people brings no rational thought to the problem stay focused on the ultimate goal.

The effect Levin is having is dividing the right and not conducive to improving turnout and unified vote, remember the Perot fiasco well there is thought that lefties encouraged him thru flattery to run and we got "what the definition of is, is" By the way PhD means "piled higher and deeper"

I don't give a damn about party. I care about the country and if people of the right and center want to have a country you have to get rid of democratic representatives and senators and replace them first with people who will vote republican and then when you will not jeopardize control of gov't, make changes to the people thru primaries in each voting district. You think to much in black and white when it comes to tactics and strategy in politics. We have to keep our cards close to our chest because as soon as we publish a good idea or candidate the progressive media and machines make emotional arguments against or try to destroy our ideas and candidates. What idiot thought process leads you to believe that I have no firm commitment to Ideals. If you are wanting an ideal world world then get real neva gunna happen. When dealt lemons make lemonade. You waqnt commitment how about every person convicted of killing another person volition-ally be executed. When one takes another life one should of necessity forfeit their right to life, clean out the gene pool. Rape convictions should be a mandatory death sentence since I can think of no more heinous crime done to a woman. Bring back indentured service for actions that take away the means to produce income. What I most worry about is ASSUMERS like you will cause us to loose to the democrats, and you know what is said about ASSUME.

I'm 75 years old and I have seen many stupid republican maneuvers but the worst I have ever seen is happening right now by all the A.H.'s who think you can correct anything without holding both houses and the presidency. We used to call it the "salami method" and it has worked for the Dem's for 70 years, thats how we got to where we are. So we, the right and right leaning independents, must console ourselves with the fact that the only thing we can really do untill we take the Senate is minimal at best. WE must not destroy the toxic atmosphere the Democrats have to work with for 2014 and 2016 by making the general population angry by shutting down the Gov't or some other stupid non-productive action. Our total focus should be on jobs, pointing out the disaster of Obamacare and let the voters see the Dem's in full spotlight of how they are going to screw the people. To that end we should concentrate on putting forth candidates who can get elected in the individual districts and state-wide be they TEA party or not. Gain control first, then we can do something without control we can do nothing and all will be lost. Mark Levin is doing more to help the democrats than they are. Go out vote republican nomatter who is the candidate so we can control all the committees and appointments and money and the president for the next 2 years. GET YOUR DAMN PRIORITIES RIGHT!!!

Godfather Politics : Media Working to Tell Us Who We Want for President

Cain has all the qualities needed to beat Obama in his own rock solid constituency, the black american block. He is the only clear thinking economically orientated candidate we have. He can and will learn very quickly the foreign affairs game, don't forget he is a mathematician, an engineer, a former president of the Kansas City federal reserve Bank and of course a very successful CEO and entrepeneur.

Godfather Politics : America Assassinates its Own People and We Don't Care

When are we going to stop living in the chivalrous past. We don't have the luxury of letting idiots like this the first strike. When some one declares verbally thaqt he or she wants to destroy us and kill as many people as possible, then takes actions to do just that, you want to put them on trail? What ever happened to you are responsible for your actions? Just the threat is enough to warrant self defense actions. If you think not then you go to every home that loses a loved one because of your position and lack of action. In the real world it is kill the killer before he kills you. Grow up and accept it the Jihadist has!

American Vision : Higher Law vs. Horizontal Law

The Constitution is a frame work for the governing of the states and the individuals of the nation. It is specific in its enumeration as to what each branch of the government is ALLOWED AND EMPOWERED to do, and only those things. All things not specifically permitted for the Federal level to do is reserved to the States and the people. That is why there is no mention of the specifics you mentioned, they are the responsibility of the several States, as proof the Federal Government cannot prosecute on murder only on denial of civil rights. Get your facts straight

American Vision : Higher Law vs. Horizontal Law

With respect to the basis for moral law, the only laws that are moral are those that apply to all humans at all times. There can be no forcing personal prefernces on others. Government is instituted by man to use force in defense of the population not to institute a desire by one group to demand a submission by another group of differing opinion. The Commandments of judeo-christian origen are a group of ideas that , in the most part, are applicable to all humans, and as such were a really brilliant way to institute a form of control (government) on the group. But the group was voluntary as the fracturing of the Judeo religion proved. Some believed in all the commandments ans some did not. Thus the commandments as christians see them can not be applied in their entirety to all people, But many can and should

American Vision : Higher Law vs. Horizontal Law

We might not all believe in God, but we are all humans and laws must be universally applicable to all humans. The Christian moral code is a set of positions which are mostly applicable to every one. Not all of the founding fathers were religious. Not everyone must believe in God. That is a personal preference, and in the biblical time frame was a rallying point to build congregation. The point is that everyone has to be human, it comes at birth. With birth comes certain inalienable rights, and it should be pointed out responsibilities. The golden rule is most applicable at this point.

American Vision : Higher Law vs. Horizontal Law

If you have read Atlas Shrugged, "Philosophy : Who needs it" and "The virtue of Selfishness" all by Ayn Rand you would never have to ask "Where the moral anchor for law resides" Moral law is that law which promotes the rational existence of man. Governments are instituted by men to frame and enforce that law. If the law does not lead to the furtherance of man's existance then it should not be included as law. Keep in mind that government is the only legal use of force permitted in a rational society. Belief in any diety is a personal preference and as such is separated from "state" , as should any other personal belief or act that does not interfere with other men
