If she has any flaws as a parent I suspect it would be that she was so busy working to support her family that she wasn't around enough to see what was going on with her older son. This is something many of us have been guilty of in life. She always seemed like she would be a very loving and caring parent. I can't imagine the heartbreak she is going through right now.
