the phone is totally locked, I can only make emergency calls and see its IMEI-code and its ICCID-code which its meaning is like chinese for me :(

hi everybody
first of all, thanks for all the research and help

I have an iphone 3g from thailand (I live in europe) which was still running on 3.0
I decided to update it to 4.2.1 but now it is locked. I can only make emergency calls
Is there any way I can unlock it or downgrade it again?
