You've been placed on moderation for making personal attacks. Like anyone else whose comments have been moderated, it has nothing to do you with your politics. Keep your comments civil, and the moderation will be lifted.

It was Professor Kaufman, as the story states. He was met in class by police because he was being suspended and excluded from campus.

In regards to the new website, at this point in time we are not changing the commenting system. We'll still have Intense Debate when the new site launches tomorrow.

The comments have not been 'wiped.' They're all still here: http://www.dailycamera.com/news/boulder/ci_219992...

But if you come into the story via different URLs (this, for example, is off the Most Viewed list), it has a different set of comments.

It's a problem with Intense Debate's commenting system, and they have not been able to rectify it.

We aren't removing comments because they are critical of "public officialdom" or the paper itself, or "burying" them in any fashion.

There is a flaw with the third-party Intense Debate commenting system that we use that isn't carrying over the same set of comments to the different URLs a story may have. It's all the same story -- we're not posting multiple versions -- but our web system generates slightly different URLs depending on how you get to it (like through a certain section, etc.).

This particular version of the story is the URL that was generated because of its placement in the 'Most Viewed' list. The link that you have provided to the "original article" -- which is actually the exact same one on this page -- directs you to the story on the Boulder news page and/or front page.

We've asked Intense Debate to fix this, but it has not yet happened. When commenters make note of a story's entire comment thread simply vanishing, this is why.

To those who have complained or will complain about our posting of Olympic results... we are a newspaper, and we will post the news. It is not our fault that NBC is tape-delaying certain events, nor does that play any role in how we present the news. If you want to be "surprised" by hours-old races tonight, it would be wise to avoid newspaper websites or the Internet altogether.

If you search by Seth's actual name, "Seth Brigham," you will find the story.

We have not removed the 200+ comments from this story, nor reposted it. This is the original story. We are experiencing some unexplained problems with Intense Debate's commenting system. Depending on how you get to the story, the comments may or may not be there. You should be able to see the comments at this link: http://www.dailycamera.com/news/boulder/ci_205491...
