i think this high crime rate has alot to do with the high unemployment rate in this country that has happened since the election of this new government.
Dont mind the statistics that's going around out there, its important to look at who is getting the jobs ... is it the potential criminals being hired and occupied with a living, or is it the graduates from the universities etc..

also i believe that the former Commissioner of police was actually doing his job. since he left, crime has been on the rise.

cant fight crime with random ideas just like we cant put Usain bolt to organize the olympics.... we need someone competent for the job

It takes a special kind of madness to mindlessly stab someone especially innocent little children. Stabbing is a bit more personal than shooting because you have to be relatively close to the victim in terms of distance. This is all just extremely horrific!!!!

Have you ever visited Jamaica. If you have been to Jamaica you would see that they have Indians there. Trinidad and Guyana received a greater number of East Indian immigrants than Jamaica. You must also take into account intermarrying which has significantly absorbed a large portion of that sector of the society. East Indians account for approx. 1.5% of the Jamaican population.

Harts and D Midas. Why not head into East Port-of-Spain and film the artisans who make those beautiful and intricate traditional masquerades eg. Fancy Sailors; Bats; Su Marie, etc. Additionally I am weary of artistes claiming that they are promoting this theme of 'one love' and seeking the interests of the youth and future generations. They should realize that setting a good example goes beyond one video shoot for one song. If you live a public life you are responsible to the youth ad you must do your best to set positive examples all the time. Eliminating scanty costumes and vulgar dancing from one video shoot for one song is not going to make a significant impact.
