Big Hollywood : Which Celebrity Had the Best Super Bowl Ad?

I was born in Lakewood & lived in Parma until we moved to California. I had many relatives who either worked at Ford or in the police department. I agree, until there's a change in "management", things will never get better. May I suggest you watch the video series on Reason.tv- Reason Saves Cleveland. A blueprint for prosperity that no one will ever use, unfortunately.

I thought it was a great commercial. It is made to sell. Sell ideas & product. But I have to agree with you in regards to what you say about Detroit. Being a Clevelander I see the same thing. Its a mess & with much sadness I say that it will never be what it was. I just don't see it if the residents keep voting in the same jokers that have detroyed it.

Pedophilia, really? Come on. The character may be 100 in agr,but he still looks like a 17yr old kid. I don't seem him looking for someone closer to his age.

I had the same problem with PR as well. But that was the 1st of her movies that I had seen. I did like her in Welcom to the Rileys, though. As far as her parent's go, I think until she reached her majority, her Dad pushed her alot. I've read few interviews with him. He seemed to be a real jerk.

Big Hollywood : ‘American Horror Story’ Review: Terrifying and Risqué

I had to say that the 1st episode was a bit risque, but FX has been moving this way for some time now, so it is to be expected. I put off watching the next episode, "Home Invasion", because I was really not interested in seeing another butt shot of Mr McDermott. But I gave in last night & I have to say it was more than I expected. Much more scary, intense. I loved the late '70s early 80s slashers-just enough blood & guts, not overly gorry. So the thing with the girl in the house & the nurse did not seem out of place, it really fit in to what I am starting to expect from this "house of horrors". Episode 3 was even better. I find myself actually anticipating the next episode to see what other bad things have happened in this house. People can be bad & people can be good. I think we all have some fascination or desire to understand why people do the vile things they do, some vouyeristic compulsion to watch it played out before our eyes.

So sad to hear of his passing. I had a great English teacher who had my class read "Flowers for Algernon" & then recommended we see the film Charly. I was never happier to take up that recommendation. One of my most favorite tear jerkers!

I don't see her as being prudish. What she speaks of is reality. Some of the movie nominations are clearly not for teens. Yet they are asked to vote for something that they are clearly not meant to see.

I have to say that she is one of my favorites. I loved Cheaper By the Dozen & Belles on Their Toes-the follow-up. I have seen many other Loy films but these two were my absolute favorite. Having grown up without a mother, I always pictured Ms Loy as Lillian Gilbreth filling in. Funny that she never had children of her own. She was a natural.

Big Journalism : Who is Jill Scott, Really? A Response to Her Opinion on Interracial Dating.

Someone once asked me a long time ago if I'd ever date a black man (I am Caucasian). I told that them that, no, I probably wouldn't. They then told me that that was rascist. We went back & forth as to how I thought I was not rascist in any way. Finally, I was able to make them realize, through a further explanation, that I just had not seen or encountered someone of that color that had attracted me. I mean, sure there are actors & singers (Denzel & Lenny) that I thought were very handsome (and very out of my reach). But I never thought that race ever had anything to do with a relationship. I always thought it boiled down to attraction & personality. Silly me. I like to think that in the last 30 years things had progressed past the point where someones "race" was really a non-issue.

Ok, I've got a little list of my own. I'm not old enough to have seen some of the films in the theater, though I have seen them all, mostly on late night or Sunday TV. And much of what I have enjoyed are fairly newer to the scene except for a few older ones that I just really was drawn to as a kid: The Robe-1953 Barabbas-1962 The Nativity Story One Night with the King-2006 The Last Sin Eater-2007 Amazing Grace-2007 And please don't laugh, but Dracula 2000-- Even though this is supposed to be a gross horror type flick, I was very struck by Wes Craven's idea of Dracula actually being Judas. Its like he loves/hates Christ. But God has punished him for what he did. He says, "I drink the blood of your Children and grant them what you deny them -- pleasure!" It's not a "classic" film by any means, but after I saw it I actually wanted to learn more about this man Judas & what he had done. And of course, Jesus, too.

Yes! Every Halloween I tell friends about this movie & how it is one my favorite scary movies. I was about 13 when I 1st saw it & God if it didn't just scare the crap out of me. Its sad that I never see this on tv. Ever. I finally went and ordered a copy of it the other day. I can't wait to watch it & share with all my friends at work.
