For anyone having problems getting past the purple screen, keep trying every twenty minutes or so. I've had that problem all morning but now i'm at the 'downloading, this may take a while screen'. If you dont have that message afer sliding the slider at the beginning then that means the server is very busy and you have to try later. Be patient with it, don't bug @Comex (the guy probably needs some sleep). I will say its not as easy as SPIRIT JB was to use but this exploit must have Apple crawling on the ceiling leaving a hole open in safari! and that just makes it so much better haaa! Thanks Comex, you rock!

another idea..maybe you can pick up a 'spares or repair' from ebay or something like that? A screen is easily changed at a mobile phone repair shop for a couple of quid if you can find one. That way you're phone should stay exactly as it is without APPLE wrecking your day....just a thought.

I really don't understand why these fakers (reported above) are making up these misleading websites, claiming to be the Dev-Team. All that will happen is that these idiots will mislead innocent i-device owners to believing they have the 'Real Deal' jail breaks and unlocks - probably rendering the said innocent users device useless (possibly forever) if they use them. Not to mention virus and other troubles. Even if you google the official ultrasnow - you'll also see a link for the faker - We need to stop this somehow to avoid innocent searchers coming across and using said websites. Please everybody, if you know someone with an iphone (i certainly know 20 or so), let them know about the dev-team blog so that they can see this for themselves and maybe they can pass it to their freinds on so on...Get my drift? Word of mouth an all that... Dev-Team I love the work you do for free, for us and ask nothing in return. Thankyou.

IMPORTANT NEWS - POSSIBLE FW UPDATE TODAY VIA ITUNES: Apple may release a minor update to iOS 4 in advance of a press conference tomorrow, according to iPhoneHellas. The 4.0.1 update would presumably be to fix the signal bar issue. The site expects Apple to release iOS 4.1 around September after a few more beta versions. It is imperative that those looking to jailbreak save their SHSH Blobs using Firmware Umbrella

Breaking News from Apple Apple has announced to developers that iOS SDK and iOS 4.1 beta are now available from the iPhone Dev Center. Apps built with iOS SDK 4.1 beta should only be tested on devices running iOS 4.1. Make sure to read the Xcode 3.2.4 Readme and the iOS SDK 4.1 beta Release Notes before installing and downloading these new releases. The SDK build number is 10M2304 and the firmware build number is 8B5080c. Hopefully some of the false reception readings and proximity sensor issues will be resolved in this update. Developers please let us know your experiences in the comments

Youe have to put in your ECID to see if your SHSH is on sauriks server. Again google how to do that and you'll be on your way to using the firmware umbrella properly. In any case, get your ios4.0 shsh on file today before its to late.
