Made Remade : The Secret to a Successful Paint Job

Nope. All it does is freeze the paint that's started to dry anyway. You're way better off cleaning the brush every few hours. It barely takes two minutes__

Made Remade : Do You Have a Question for Bathroom Remodeling Expert Matt Muenster?

Not sure which product Matt used. There are several block-type systems out there to make the crown cutting gymnastics a little easier to manage. By using "stop blocks" to make transitions--either around corners or between pieces in the middle of a long room--they enable cutting the crown 90 degrees on the end instead of using miters, copes, and splices. No "nesting" the crown or setting it in your saw "upside-down and backwards" is required.

Made Remade : Answering Questions About Waste Management’s Bagster

You'll have to check with Waste Management, but since a cubic yard is a measure of volume, I would say that measurement is before the concrete is broken up. That's just a guess though.

Made Remade : Lawn Care: Edging With a Grass Trimmer

You bet Marie. If I may offer some unsolicited advice, the most important piece of lawn care equipment you need right now is a sprinkler. Water, water water the sod and get it to grow. Eevergreen Turf can tell you the optimum watering schedule. Lots of people lose very expensive sod jobs because they think the grass will grow by magic. I hope this helps__

Good question Jack--I've never done this with the Bagster but here's what I think. Between the weight of the plaster and the size of the bag--it's not small--you'll have too much volume of material to move through stairs and hallways without damaging something or pulling pictures off the wall. Also, you need access to the wall from floor to door-head. Let us know how it turns out.

Made Remade : A Great New Tool For Demolition

Hey Dave--I'm pretty sure he would have used what's called a "face frame clamp" or a "cabinet clamp." Best thing to do might be to do a google search. There are several different models and price ranges.

Made Remade : How to Make a Small Screwdriver: MacGyver Style

Maybe not quite like this...very clever. I;ve used my 5-in-1 painters tool for everything from a shim to a cold-chisel, but I'm with Warren on the safety thing: no tool should ever be modified; no guards should be removed or pinned back; no batteries should be futzed with. And they should all be used safely. Saw blades, for the most part, can't tell the difference between tiger maple and flesh. Work safely__

More evidence that tools are not toys. A blade going 3500 RPM doesn't know the difference between your fingers or a hunk of oak. Please be careful!

Made Remade : Screw Removal Tip: How to Back a Screw Out of Drywall

Good thinking. But, you can't usually sink the screw in drywall because the drywall is reamed. Now you have to hammer it flat or get it out. Might as well get it out if you have to float the dimple with joint compound. Plus--and yes, I'm this cheap--I'll reuse that screw which I measure in value as a trip I don;t have to take to the store if I'm running out...know what I mean?
