First the whole issue started w/ no one from 42 responding and they did. Second, Kyle let me then be the first to say thank you for your service I truly believe you where a great officer on calls. My opinion is you had the old school mentality of the way things used to be and you didn't want to change. But things do change and times progress. I sincerely do want to thank you for your years of service and it is a shame no one especially the board recognized your commitment to the dept..

Maybe everyone should know the facts before they get enterviewed with the media or comment on this site. There was an officer and two firefighters that responded from station 42. Engine 40 was arriving at the same time station 42 members were finishing getting suited up so station 42 members assisted engine 40 personnel because you only need one engine on a vehicle fire. By the way East Valley Fire Dept. is not in shambles and is running well. It makes me sick to hear people not appreciate there fire dept. and members full time and volunteer. East Valley could use more volunteers but so could any other dept. in Yakima County, we are not the only ones looking for volunteers.
