I agree with both sides of this story... the old guy is pitiable but also should be held accountable for his actions. He was probably lonely and insecure which is why he told the lies and he was probably desperate and/or pathologically ill to steal his brother's ID and collect the benefits. I believe he should do more time than just one year but all this ridiculous pompousness that he should be sent off to war is idiotic... Just saying.

I think Trooper Salyer is lucky this A-hole didn't have a gun. What a coward the biker is! Was he/they on crank or something... We'll never know. Some people are just messed up.

I hope the trooper is doing well. May Jehovah smite the bikers who wrecked thine cruiser! If there was ever a case of Karma being appropriate this would be it. My hat's off to Trooper Salyer and I'm glad he wasn't hurt badly.
