The CultureMob Blog : Seattle Seafair 2009 events schedule and neighborhood festivals

No, you have it right and that's what I remember as well, but I couldn't rest until I could prove it. This archived Seattle Times article shows that the Torchlight Parade moved from Friday to Saturday in 1998 (I remember being in my early 20's and sticking around downtown after work with friends for the parade), and the hydroplane races actually moved to the weekend after the parade the year before in 1997. http://community.seattletimes.nwsource.com/archiv... Isn't it nice to know our memories are better than we thought? Take that, kids! ;-)

Easily. As Matthewc pointed out, it really isn't that hard and if you have any kind of cooking skills you can eat really well. I just bought $14 worth of fruit & veggies this morning at Rising Sun Farm & Produce in Roosevelt - enough to feed a single person for more than a week. (75 cent mangos & avocados, 50 cent kiwis). I can't live without coffee - make french press at home. Eat leftovers of your home-cooked gourmet dinners for lunch. People need to ask we single parents how to manage. Though I do admit we tend to get a little smug. Good luck! :)
