Thank you So very much for educating thousands on Inflammatory Breast Cancer (IBC) and the fact that you don't have to have a lump to have breast cancer! Knowing the symptoms WILL save lives. The IBC Foundation is working diligently on getting word out not just to the general public but to the medical community as well. Two symptoms that were not listed are what appears to be an insect bite or rash that doesn't dissipate after using creams and salves. Carre, there are a myriad of ibc patients wishing you well .. You are NOT alone! Maurisa, 3 years is without question, a positive that you will continue to be a long time survivor!
My daughter Karen is an 11 year IBC survivor, dx at age 36 and she continues to do remarkably well. I wish the same results for Carre and Maurisa who were kind and courageous to tell their story.
On another note, the World's First Inflammatory Breast Cancer Conference will be held in Houston, TX, December 5-7 2008. We've made great strides BUT we can always use help in spreading the word ... thank you!
