Breitbart.tv : 'Except Obama!' Screamed From House Gallery During Reading of Constitutional Citizenship Provision F

There is no "right to privacy" in the constitution. The word privacy is not used in the constitution at all so it cannot be a right guaranteed by the constitution. The constitution only says we have a right to be free of "unreasonable searches and seizure". If the government can fondle my gonads as part of a "reasonable search" at an airport it is certainly "reasonable" to require candidates for president to release all information the establishes their eligibility to be president. It's a security concern recognized by the founders. And more so to require a lot of additional information so as to allow the voting public to make an informed choice. Congress has the right and responsibility to regulate this issue. BTW: I fully support a constitutional amendment to guarantee the right to privacy. But I can read and it is not currently in the constitution.

Breitbart.tv : Sharpton: Rush May Have to Attend FCC Hearings to Explain 'Racist' Remarks

I would love to see you, Al, explain your statements and role in tawana brawley, or the duke lacross players, etc.... Let's be fair about these hearings Al. You need to explain why you always show up defending people of one color, but never people of the other color. Is that some kind of coincidence? I think maybe you're a bigot and a racist. I think your track record will show that you disproportionally choose a side based soley on the race of those involved. I think we need an affirmative action program for you so your statistical choice of side is more multicultural, balanced, and reflects the cultural balance of the community.

Breitbart.tv : Elitists on the Run: Robert Reich Says America on Verge of Losing Democracy

No matter how you measure the government policies of the last 40-50 years they are more liberal and socialist than ever before. The government controls more of the economy, the government is bigger, the government has extended itself into more aspects of everything. So what he is essentially saying is that the implementation of more liberal and socialist policies over the last 40-50 years has made things worse.

Breitbart.com : 3 Americans now held in Iran for half of a year

I'd rather not increase the funding for social programs. History shows that no matter what they fund to reduce costs, the cost savings never materialize. Just cut the funding and make the existing bureaucrats actually do their job. That needs to be accompanied by a law that says that hence forth, if you voluntarily have a child out of wedlock you are not eligible for any government assistance of any kind whatsoever and forever. The policing will be simple, show me the wedding license. If someone wants to have a herd of kids it doesn't bother me. What bothers me is when the government takes my money and pays them for their bad decisions. By funding it they encourage it and now it's rampant and out of control. I have no problem cutting defense spending to some degree. But I consider the military one of the primary responsibilities of the federal government. A strong national defense is a must. As long as we remain powerful enough to fend off attacks from most the world combined I don't have a problem cutting defense.

OK. I'll agree with you. We will ONLY allow widowed mothers on welfare. That was 1.6% of welfare recipients according to the most recent data I could find. I don't think we need to limit it to only the ones with two kids. But no more kids while they are on welfare. And, like health insurance, maybe we should write a law that requires anyone having kids to purchase life insurance. That way they won't need welfare at all. Since national defense is a constitutional requirement, the income the federal government gets goes first to that, and enough money comes in to cover that. So we are actually borrowing money to subsidize welfare, not national defense. I am OK reducing our footprint in the world as far as military presence and being the world's police force. But I always want a strong national defense. I am OK with some welfare. But the program should not encourage bad decisions, as it currently does. If you make bad decisions you should pay for them, not me. Having kids out of wedlock is a bad decision that should not be subsidized and that is far more common (55% according to the latest data I could find) with welfare recipients than being widowed.

Breitbart.com : Swiss warn UBS bank could collapse

UBS can voluntarily stop doing business in the US. The swiss don't have to change anything. The Swiss have no right to do business here unless they comply with US Law. Helping millionaires and billionaires cheat on their taxes is not finding any sympathy with me. Helping drug lords and other illegal business operations launder money isn't finding any sympathy either. If putting an end to tax cheats and money laundering sinks the Swiss economy that's just too bad.

I wonder if you would say the same of democratic policies such as welfare spending. Welfare spending is currently about $600Billion a year. Welfare spending never substantially decreases. The best we can hope for is a leveling off or very modest and temporary decrease. On the other hand, military/defense spending spikes during war time, currently near $800billion a year, and then substantially decreases. Over time the defense spending will subside to pre-war time levels of around $300B adjusted for inflation. Welfare spending will just keep growing, unabated. And national defense is one of the prime reasons for a central federal government. It is mentioned in the constitution. Welfare is neither a prime role of the central government nor mentioned in the constitution. I would tend to think out of control programs that grow exponentially over time are worse that the ones that we all know will end one day.
