This is NOT the first time this has happened. Teachers for example never seem to get a raise but the "breaks" get longer each year. "The less you work, the less we have to pay you"

For those who think that this is a HARMLESS camp. You were not around when the cops cleaned out the "Jungle" on Beacon hill. As a resadent of the hill and also working on the hill we got to see the effects of a long term encampment of homeless people. The large portable lights put up next to the PACMED building so the Hazmat teams could clean up the waste.

"Nearly a month after they began, workers have hauled 120 tons of debris out of "The Jungle," the mile-long brushy hillside encampment above Interstate 5."
"Some carry their garbage out, but most bury it or throw it in heaps beyond their dwellings."

If this was a KOA I would be all for it but this is not the case. If the city wants to build a place for them to camp and we tax payers want to foot the bill for it, fine. Rogue camps are not the anwser to this problem.
