Good article, lots of good points brought up by everyone. For the people asking about 308 in an AR platform, I would say the Rock River LAR-8 would be a great choice. The versatility in magazines alone is worth it (the rifle takes FAL mags- inch or metric), and rock river builds awesome stuff. I'm a huge fan of my M1A, and know that it's more than capable as far as accuracy. I guess when it comes down to it, I'd rather have one guy with a beat up old bolt action 22 that is mastered with the rifle, rather than ten guys with AR's that couldn't shoot themselves in the foot. The weapon is as deadly as you allow it to be.

Good article, couldn't agree more. CZ has been making guns for a loooong time, and they are damn good at it. Working in a gun shop, you get an eye for garbage, something decent, and things that will last. The IMI (or IWI) baby eagle (jericho) pistols are very close representations to the CZ 75s; both of which, in my opinion, are "boringly accurate." As in, the gun doesn't miss, you do. I've shot the CZs many times, and own a baby eagle. Outside of being built like and having the weight of a fire hydrant, they are an awesome shooting pistol. Would love to see more accessories for the b. eagle (serpa holsters, etc).

Like any other 22 semi- auto, I've heard it's finicky about ammo; at least before it breaks in. I'm pretty happy with my ruger 10/22. Not over engineered, fairly simple (for a semi-auto), and easy to clean. I've taken all kinds of critters with it, and had more than a lot of fun with it as well. As far as BOB firearms go, it would make a good addition to compliment 223 or 308. With 22 ammo as small as it is, a good 22 rifle and a brick of ammo would be cheap insurance.

I'll start by saying this is a great site- lots of great info and ideas. Also good to read others' input without reading online bickering. To get to the point, I've been pretty happy with the blackhawk cyclone bag. Plenty of storage, the molle attachments allow lots of other gear to be thrown on (med-packs, gas mask bag, mag pouches, etc), and the hydration bladder is also very key. I've taken the pack on a 5 mile hike up a local mountain (pretty steep in places) and was happy with the comfort level. Also, it's not ridiculously overpriced. Would love to hear any feedback from others.
