MMA Scraps : Fedor Emelianenko Sparring with Undefeated Pro Boxer Denis Lebedev

dan henderson will swing for the fence with his face low and go for takedowns. Fedor should work on knees for this fight. If he fights smart, he will win in the first round.

MMA Scraps : Tito's Back!

Tito was never gone. He won 2 out of 3 rounds with Rashad in the first fight ( Rashad has improved since). He won the first 2 rounds against Forrest Griffin. He went the distance with Machida. Poor gameplan and loss against Hamill. Fought smart against Bader. That you lose fights does not mean you suck. Bader on the other hand was always over rated and should have lost against Nogueira (that being said Bader never beat anyone significant), having most of his take downs stuffed and doing nothing with the few he got + being slightly dominated on the feet. Shame for I was looking forward to Machida's second ko over Rashad.

MMA Scraps : Alistair Overeem Talks Strikeforce Heavyweight Tournament Advancement

Overeem concentrated only on take down defense, certain that his superior striking would get him the win/ko. Werdum did surprisingly well with his improved striking which was unexpected and undefended. Werdum just pulled guard everytime he got hurt. Werdum should have gotten a yellow card for purposely taking a long time to get back up every time the ref directed him to, as to recover, about 10 seconds on many occasions. I taught it was a good fight, with Overeem (who just fought the number 2 ranked hw in the world) a bit gassed at the end, and Werdum just tired and hurt.

MMA Scraps : Rashad Evans Discusses Nightclub Confrontation with Jon Jones

Rashad would get owned by Jones. Shogun would have also owed Rashad. If you look at the Shogun Jones fight, the only thing that led to the Jones victory was his reach, which rashad does not have. Shogun would have succeeded in his sweeps and leg lock if it was Rashad for sure. Rashad cannot take a punch either.

MMA Scraps : Keith Jardine Really Believes He Beat Gegard Mousasi

Jardine is delusional. round 1 9-9 ( including 1 point deduction for Mousasi) round 2 10-9 Mousasi round 3 10-9 Mousasi Mousasi dominated the stand up in all 3 rounds. Jardine got takedowns in the first 2 rounds but did nothing with them, Mousasi got back up right after and did all of the damage on the ground. Mousasi dominated both in the stand up and on the ground. Jardine got the shit beaten out of him. Mousasi would have won by ko/tko in the third if the ref had not stopped the fight to look at Jardine's cuts and give him time to recuperate.

MMA Scraps : Jim Rome Bashes Fedor Emelianenko

Dos Santos is a top hw with dangerous boxing. Fedor could hang with him on the feet and Dos Santos is unproven on the ground. If it was Dos Santos instead of big foot in the last fight i am pretty sure he would have tapped to the kimura and foot lock. But inded it would be a good match up. What i do not unerstand about Dos Santos is how in any way could he be ranked higher then Overeem who is way better in every aspect of the game. And lastly for you, Werdum was not kicked out of the ufc, he left out of contract dispute for the ufc would not raise his pay after his loss to Dos Santos. He was actually promised a title shot in the ufc after beating Gonzaga, but was pushed aside for lack of popularity/appeal..

What it comes down to is Fedor lost to someone 50 pounds heavier with great bjj credentials and still survived and got submissions of his own. Anyone without the bjj ability ( including all of UFC's hw's except for Mir, Nogueira, Nelson) would have been submitted. Nogueira does not have the weight advantage on fedor to implement his bjj leaving only Nelson an Mir in the UFC to possibly beat Fedor. Mir though has no chin and Nelson has not proven his sub defence and though his chin is ok, he i just not at the elite level. The only fighter's in the world who would beat Fedor are Antonio Silva, Werdum (bjj world champion) and Overeem ( K1 world champion), all of which are in strikeforce. And i would give the fight to Fedor 50/50 on these.

For fun: What would have happened if Fedor ha fought the ufc top guys instead of big foot? Cain - would not be able to hold Fedor down (big foot had 50 extra pounds an Fedor still got out). Cain is not a bjj wiz and would have been submitted by the kimura or the foot lock... Lesnar - would have crumpled to Fedor's punching, been submitted on the ground ( Silva got out because he is a top bjj black belt, Lesnar is not...) Carwin - would have been submitted on the ground.

People forget how good big foot is, and Fedor did very well against him considering the following. Fedor won round 1 10-9 Fedor lost round 2 10-8 Now let's look into the fight: 1) The fight was stopped by the ref. in between rounds. Fedor's eye looked liked Koscheck's, except Koscheck was allowed to fight 5 rounds with that eye. Fedor 1... 2) Fedor had no quits, even being mounted and having his face pounded in and was still going for submissions to the bell. 3) Fedor lost to a top hw, bjj black belt with 50 pounds of extra weight on top of him.

MMA Scraps : For There is No Joy in Stary Oskol, The Mighty Fedor Has Bowed Out

Props to Fedor for taking the beating in round 2 with no quits. Big foot has always been very underestimated. A 285 pounds bjj black belt was just too much for Fedor on the ground. Against Velaskes it would have been another story. Fedor would have escaped easy if the guy on top of him was 40 pounds lighter with poor sub. ability, as well as managed a sub. of his own.

Are you aware that Overeem is the K1 world grand prix champion? Meaning that he is the best kick boxer in the world? Overeem is the best striker in K1 and mma period. Overeem is way more technical and powerfull then JDS and would knock him out as soon as he touches him.

Big Country and Dos Santos had a 3 round war. Lesnar is 5-2 and almost was 4-3 if Carwin had not gassed. They should have a Carwin Lesnar rematch. If only they could bring in Overeem to fight Dos Santos, Overeem would beat Dos Santos up in under 20 seconds, bad.

I agree. But Rampage did say he did not want a rematch with Machida, just thought it was only fair to offer. I know Rampage is no bum, d'ont get me wrong, he has fought many strong opponents, but he also wants a title shot, which is unavailable for the time being. Thus, he understands the situation being having to fight someone beforehand, and probably does not want Thiago Silva who is also no bum.

Rampage deserves a title shot which he is not getting, as Rashad vs Shogun is next and still a wait away. In the meantime Rampage can beat a popular bum or risk getting beat by the winner of Jones and Badder (Jones) or Thiago Silva who Dana probably will have fight for the title shot. So he calls out the bum and keeps his record clean.
