Yah, true, one has to save up especially as GTA is one of the most expensive games ever lol. It\\\'s breaking a lot of records besides sales figures :-P Do you think you will be selling your previous console or will you be holding on to both?

Chrome OS Site : Samsung Set To Launch Chrome OS Laptop in Europe

Chrome OS Site has already published a review: http://chromeossite.com/2011/06/18/samsung-series... I think the author is indeed just announcing availability. I don't feel that every article about chromebooks needs to scrutinize them deeply. Sometimes there is a need to simply announce important events and milestones to our readership.

ah yes, but those prices are for their current Xi3 PC's...the Chromium version prices are not out yet according to the company's press statement. I think the pricing will be way lower than $800 as they will be running on lower specs.

Congrats and thank you for the confirmation. At this stage it seems pretty clear what's going on. The question though is; why is Google doing this now and how many are they sending out" - This we will have to find out from Google. Hopefully there will be some sort of a statement from them soon.

Chrome OS Site : 10 Essential Chrome Web Apps

Erm, one could say the same about the NYTimes App. 'I could just go to their website'. I think you guys may be missing the point of the article. It is just a list of great Apps in the Web store for specific categories. Unless you guys could suggest other apps that are better than the ones listed above (for each category) then I would understand your arguments. Rather you have something against Flixster and Tweetdeck and you are suggesting that people should just visit the websites. I find this odd.

In place of Tweetdeck, what other App would you suggest as an alternative to the twitter website? In place of Flixster - what movie app would you suggest? I for one think these are the two best in those categories. I run them in Chrome and on my Ipad and think they're awesome.

Thanks for that Jadziak. We will follow up on this soon. A couple of sites have called Acer and they have confirmed that this device will not run Chrome OS but rather the Chrome Browser. How they will do this is unclear...we'll see how this pans out.

Chrome OS Site : Chrome OS And Android Convergence Imminent

In that case, what will happen to Chrome OS? In essence Google will be releasing Chrome OS to fail. Do you not feel that restricting Android for now is the best way to give Chrome OS a go for it's money? Afterall, cloud computing is the future too. So Google has to juggle the fact that Mobile OS's are the future and also that Cloud computing is the future too. Why not develop two platforms that are good at either of those two things and then marry them together when the time is right?

Chrome OS Site : Jolicloud Defeated - Releases Chrome Web App

I agree on the observation that Google is a 'different' kind of company, and I'm a fan too because of that. But what strikes me is that it was Jolicloud that created this App. This move can be interpreted in many ways but to me, it shows that Jolicloud has already chosen to take a subordinate role in the OS market. Before Chrome OS is even out, they are porting the OS in a bid to capture Google's users. It's basically equivalent to Android being ported to IOS for example. It's a bit of an acquiescence to the latter. a bit of: 'I know your OS will be more popular than mine, so I'll make my OS work within yours'
