I too spent 20 years upholding our Constitution, and the time for action has come. The tea parties are going to work, but be careful of ACORN as I have seen in other posts. Armed response is not yet the answer. It would just give the UN the excuse they need to step in. Not as if the bills getting passed are'nt opening the door for them already. All of us should assume that some of the content posted is being read to look out for a violent response to what is happening. Let us not become like the thugs during the G20. Glen suggested we send letters of apology the British embassy when the president gave the p.m. dvd's. And the British embassy sent a letter of thanks to Glen. So I believe it will. This being a government by and for the people, what do we do if the elected officials who work for us don't listen or act? How far are we as American's willing to push the legal envelope of our 1st Amendment right to peaceably assemble and to petition the government for a redress of grievances? A Tea Party in Washington DC I believe is going to happen. What does it take to pull off something this big, and I know permits, and money are some of the things that need to go into it. How about a Dolittle style raid. Anybody interested in an unofficial bike rally on DC? Just show up, drive around a little, take in a meuseum (sp?), go to lunch, pass out copies of the principles and values (if legal to pass out literature). A little on the fantasy side, but possible. Iraq used chemical weapons on Iranian military and civilians. I believe what ever Iraq had has been long gone. Many have said that Iraq's WMD's have been a threat for many years. So dont you think that Iraq would try to get rid of any evidence of them.
