Big Government : The People's Firewall: Republican-Controlled Governorships and State Legislatures

I am a conservative. I couldn't be more pleased with how this election cycle turned out. What I don't want to see is gerrymandering. As much as I want to see conservatives elected in 2012. I want honest play. If we can win this big with the way districts are now there is no reason to gerrymander districts. If they do, then it's another sign of principles be damned. I didn't like it when gerrymandering made my vote feel like a pin in a haystack and I am not comfortable with doing it to someone else to win. I don't agree with the other side but that doesn't make it alright for me to support rigging the race against them before it even starts. If those that won follow the same path on gerrymandering it will signal to me they aren't any different when it comes to honest elections than the other side is. I ask that we all call on republicans to do redistricting honestly!! It should be shouted as loudly as constitutional governing, stop spending, cut taxes, personal responsibility and transparency.

Big Government : Global Public Education Bailout Introduced!

Yes I am opposed to big government. When what it calls helping is more like forcing myself and my kids to live that way. Costing even more than it needed to instead of just helping one disabled childs family with health care for her. That seems more ironic to me.

I am not saying I am not thankful for the help of knowing she can get medical when she needs it. But it put myself and her sisters in a position to live on barely anything because were I to try and work my other daughter would have lost her coverage. That puts 4 of us in the system instead of just one. It made me feel helpless and hopeless. Being told I can get fuel after regular customers because I have a fuel voucher when a snow storm is coming. Having to sleep in one room with my kids for heat once that runs out. Going with no water for days because you couldn't pay the water bill. No hot water when you couldn't afford propane. Having electric companies make you pay another $500.00 deposit because your late on your electric bill to many months that year. Going through that because the system says if I make more than a certain amount a month they will take her medicaid away. 18 years we had to live like that. That doesn't help people it's locks them into poverty. It costs taxpayers more and demoralizes people.

LOL it's heartless to think that instead of a handout it's better to give a hand up to something you can do for yourself. I had to spend years on the system of hand-outs that makes it harder for people to get out of it than to stay on it. So tell me how great it made me feel to stay in that state of demoralization for years because it was the only thing I could do to ensure my disabled daughter had what she needed.

I went into the school board office to turn in paperwork to the superintendent for my daughter to home school last Friday. While I waited I noticed a large board they had in the office had a large world map with the slogan “Closing the global achievement gap one student at a time”. All I could think was, “what the hell does that have to do with educating the kids in a small town in Virginia?” No wonder I think my daughter would get a better education at home.

Reagan, how do you even attempt to marginalize this man and what he did as President? He ended the Cold War. How does someone make that out to be "no big deal"? His speeches where inspiring and filled with love of country and freedom. As for the education at the right College. LOL I know someone with 4 masters degrees that couldn't find her way out of Texas! Seriously, called crying because the written directions were wrong and freaking out. I know stopping and grabbing a map to find out where you are and where you are wanting to go is genius.

Hehehe very cute. It truly is such a shame to have those that want to make color a dirty thing. I know I have never been racist I wasn't raised that way. I didn't raise my kids that way. The crazy thing is that we find ourselves trying to figure out how to talk depending on the person. My oldest niece is mixed and I find myself when talking to different people struggling to figure out what word to use because mixed could offend someone. Same thing with whether to use African American, Black, Afro American, or Brown. It is what makes this article so wonderful.

Because they went off when the dems did it to them saying stupid crap about dems who did it. They can't loose face and do it themselves. They are so afraid the LSM will call them hypocrites. It's the part of the political bull**** that is screwing We The People in the end. When the dems were doing it the Republicans shouldn't have whined and belly ached about it the way they did. Totally ticks me off.

Big Government : Right to Work Is a Winning Political Issue

I think Rush has hit the mark on his comments regarding "right to work". Who would even ask if you're for it? Are we as a country so far gone from the idea of "pursuit of happiness" that we even ask if the right to work is something we should be for or against? That is the astounding part of the whole thing.

Big Government : The NAACP Risks the Ash-bin of History

"When asked why they chose to walk through a crowd of anti-ObamaCare demonstrators, the liberal Members disingenuously replied: It was the first day of spring. Right. And Gov. Sanford wanted to enjoy the spring air hiking the Appalachian Trail, too." ROFL!! I have to say that is precious. What was just as precious was O'Reilly and Marc Lamont Hill Ph.D. on The Factor last night. I personally am never more awed than when anyone of any race believes that the first thing anyone who is white contemplates when they speak about an issue is how it will oppress another race. I can't decide if they have been spending to much time "swimming in lake me" or truly believe that is all white people strive to do in life.

Big Government : I Condemn the NAACP: It Has Been Taken Over by the Hard Left

I have an opinion on the NAACP and other race specific organizations that I discussed with a lawyer friend of mine. This person was telling me how they where a part of the The Wolverine Bar Association in Michigan that was started in the 1930's because black lawyers where being excluded by local bar associations. I said I could understand why WBA was needed but once the state bar association started admitting all races of lawyers wouldn't it have been great if the leaders in the WBA had turned around and said they were going to dissolve the WBA because "mission accomplished" there was no more segregation and no more need for WBA? Wouldn't that be a better message to everyone of every race? That any type of organization or association for any single race perpetuates the division of race. I can't help but think that anyone of any race with the desire to make race a non-issue in the everyday lives of all Americans would start with including everyone at every table. Anything that promotes one group being singled out for anything different from everyone else just because of their race is creating or perpetuating continued race division as soon as someone of a different race disagrees.

All I can say is WOW!!! The "Folstom Street Fair" was nothing like what I ever thought any country anywhere would ever have in it's streets for any and all to see. Knowing there are those that indulge in fetishes and some are beyond my imagination is one thing. Seeing it in the middle of the street broad daylight is completely another. The fact that it isn't national news is even more astounding. I would never have believed it had I not seen it for myself in the photo's taken. If anyone is considering looking be warned it's extremely sexually graphic. When I read that I thought how bad can it be? It's in the middle of the street in the middle of the day. It's bad!!
