I built the firmware with iphone 3gs option, because 3g wasn't shown. I then used itunes to option restore. After it said prepping I got error 17 and the phone rebooted into dfu mode. I tried the power home reboot to no avail. i then used itunes to restore, and surprisingly after it rebooted I had the 3.1.2 firmware, and cydia was installed. Great accidental success :)

When I open pwnage tool I get iPhone, iPod Touch 2G and iPhone 3G(s). I have a 3G. Should I just use the 3Gs option?

I had jailbroken to 3.1, but couldn't connect to my carrier, so I rebuild the custom restore file and unchecked activate. then I couldn't get past the 1600 error when in DFU mode. I just restored from itunes with custom firmware (not in DFU) and it seemed to work.

I get no carrier logo, and I can't make calls. Any ideas as to what's up or how to fix it?
