love this post Keelie. I believe very strongly in fair trade and organic sustainable farming. I try my best to splurge on items that meet these qualifications but sometimes have to compromise here and there. But overall the extra dollars are worth the effort in my opinion. I love your everything but the kitchen sink soup recipe. lol ;)

No worries about being absent from blogging. I totally hear you there! There are some weeks where I only get in 1 or 2 posts and a part of me feels like I should be posting more but I'm a busy lady :) You know the feelings! But with that said, welcome back!!! :)

wow. that list is powerful. Thank you for sharing. Each and every person left hundreds of friends and family behind and in despair. Such a sad day to remember but there were so many heros that day that we can also celebrate.

I have a Breville Juice Fountain Plus. Brevilles are really high quality and great starter juicers if you ask me. Plus they all come with good warranty packages. I think they start at around $150-$200. You can find cheaper juicers out there but I think it's worth spending the money to get a higher quality juicer that you won't have problems with. I did a bit of a review on my juicer in this post if you want to check it out. http://www.greenfoodgreenthumb.com/2011/07/juicin...
It's seriously one of the best investments you can make and I wouldn't trade mine for the world! :)

This recipe makes about 2 1/2 c. of the chia pudding... which is about 5 small servings or 3 large ones :) And NO the seeds do not get stuck in your teeth at all in the pudding form. Thank goodness! Otherwise I would not be raving about it. ;) They actually have a really pleasant creamy consistency. But I've always been a huge fan of tapioca so that's prob why I'm in love with this pudding!!

I know! I'm thinking he could grab a few scrap pieces and gears and create something fabulous out in the garage even, right?? haha!

If I could I would host juicer giveaways every week on this blog!! IF only!!! (sigh) ;)
